He was released from prison in 2014 after being convicted of murder in 1997. There was a theatrical movie based off his life and crimes starring Macauley Culkin and Seth Green, followed by a documentary. people.com/crime/michael-alig-found-dead-at-54/

Not really a surprise when I read the news... I don't have alot of sympathy for him. I don't, either. After he got out of prison and was doing these interviews, he was going on and on about what a terrible, lonely place prison is. He was always playing the victim and when he did gloss over his vile crime, sometimes he would do it with a smirk on his face. Narcissistic in the extreme. A real creep.
