Is it just me or are the costumes for the Eternals looking kind of boring? Admittedly they do look a tad bland in the artwork. Perhaps it will look better once some footage is shown. Whenever that is.

Is it just me or are the costumes for the Eternals looking kind of boring? They aren't superheroes, their costumes aren't incredibly flashy in the comics. There is the rare exception. I'd love to see Gilgamesh in this costume:

These look pretty flashy to me: Depending on the artist, not really, outside of Ikaris. And some stuff works better on the page than it would on screen. For example, the first pic you posted would look terrible on screen. Either way I'm not going to jump to conclusions based on leaked artwork. I'm not interested in the story for their costumes, I want to see what they're going to do and how they fit in in the MCU. Mostly I need them to explain why we haven't seen them in the movies up until now, it's not like they weren't needed.

Costumes, or more importantly the overall look of a character, aren't the most important aspect of a superhero movie but you shouldn't completely ignore its importance either. Multiple fans complained about Steppenwolf and Cheetah's look, Hawkeye's and Wanda's bland costume designs, Halle Berry's Catwoman costume, Flash's costume in DCEU, etc. Obviously story is more important, but it's not an either/or deal. You can have both.
