Children are still developing and I feel it is important to allow children freedom of expression away from cultural norms and impositions of gender constructs, yet they are also easily impressionable and when so-called professional psychologists and psychiatrists are supposed to have their best interests at heart, and then diagnose them as having gender dysphoria and green light surgery to change them into something that is irreversible, is sick and debased beyond words. I never really got into the drag entertainment thing myself. It is just about caricature and parody of image of femininity, especially when related to superstardom. It might be amusing, but it is also mocking and derisive at the same time even though I may laugh at it too. I am not really laughing with it though, if that makes sense. I do however love To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar - 95'. Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert - 94' I can take or leave. I would rather just watch a hot male stripper revelling in his own maleness and sharing it with the rest. I agree with your position on transgender. The decision to convert can only be made when the individual is an adult. And parents and doctors and even the child himself cannot make such a decision until the individual has reached adulthood. I'm also on record as opposing genital mutilation as part of a sex change operation. If gender is truly a social construct, then why are genitals being mutilated to conform to a social construct?
But transgender folks have always been part of the gay community. So I see no problem including them under the rainbow umbrella. We have to remember that in the legendary Stonewall Riots which are generally accepted as the beginning of the current gay liberation movement, it was the drag queens* who led the resistance against the police. *And at the time they were called "drag queens". But many drag queens were transgender.
I loved Priscilla: Queen Of The Desert!!! I surprised you didn't being from that part of the world. I also liked To Wong Foo but thought Priscilla was better.
That goes back to the previous discussion, that drag queens are not transgender/transexual, nor are they transvestite, which is normally reserved for straight dudes who get their kicks from women's clothing. Today, Transgender is more clearly defined and is a gender dysphoria, therefore a disorder right off the bat. I don't care for the entire movement regardless, because of how it fragments away from what is considered normal and is patronizing, yet if its to be there, I don't care to have anything to do with it apart from the genuine sexuality labels. Transgender will largely want to claim straight not gay once transitioned.
Priscilla was hyped very much in Oz at the time. I just wasn't really getting into it, nor the characters. I also found it typical Ozzie dry and crude humor. To Wong Foo was a breath of fresh air in comparison. I found the acting better, the characters funnier and it was warm and sweet and highlighted the fabulous gay representation that Priscilla wanted to express but I feel failed. It held so much more charm for me. I went back the next day to see it, yet the people I was with who loved Priscilla, looked at me and said what was that we just saw?

Can we all agree Bruce Jenner getting breast implants, adams's apple shaved, penis intact, not gay, loves women and votes Republican. Time Woman of the year. I love people, but that opens the crazy. I stop at lgb, no T or alphabet. Call a help line. Jenner is a fully fledged narcissist and all about image of self. It is more sad than anything.

I'm glad you cooled off. Self righteous indignation is always a bit pretentious.
Comparing homosexuality to asexuality is exactly what homophobes do when they compare equal rights for homosexuals to toleration of pedophiles. Apples and oranges.
And it's important to note here that Ebony used to claim to be asexual. But now she is a joyous heterosexual woman. Again, asexuality is not a hard wired orientation like homosexuality or heterosexuality. When pressed every asexual I've spoken to has always admitted they are attracted to the opposite sex. They're heterosexuals. As I said, true asexuality is an illness, a form of sociopathy, not a legitimate sexual orientation.
Of fuck off. As usual you interpret things in a negative fashion if they go against your views. You do this all the fucking time and you are as self righteous and stuck up as they come. Sex is so fucking important to you you treat anything that doesn’t fit in with your views as a sickness. So fucking what if people don’t have sex or don’t want to have sex? People can do whatever they fucking want even if it means not fucking so stop with the bigotry. Sex is only a part of human relationships and you spouting that shit means you are as bigoted as those you continue to whine against. I'm glad somebody said something about this. Gameboy and all his "I Am A Sexually Potent Man" proclamations make me wonder what's really going on. And I long gave up hoping that he might stop with CONSTANTLY referring to everybody else as fools and idiots. Oh, I know he is compelled to present himself as some kind of untouchable. Whatever. He doesn't seem to be capable of even meager validation to a view different from his own. So, nowhere near to being the open-minded, thinking creature he presumes himself to be. I will say he's not the malicious sort, but I completely understand what you are saying. I actually don't dislike Gameboy but this homo superior persona he peddles, he sets himself up.

"I want you! I need you! Anyone out there? Any time?" Tres butch little number whines "Hey dirty, I want you
When it's good, it's really good, and when it's bad I go to pieces" - Bowie Candidate
The LGBT establishment, the same idiots who are trying to saddle us with marriage, are using transgender as an assault on queer children who are getting their balls cut off before they're old enough to even have sex. So I understand your point.
Can you tell me why gay males are obsessed with drag shows though? Children are still developing and I feel it is important to allow children freedom of expression away from cultural norms and impositions of gender constructs, yet they are also easily impressionable and when so-called professional psychologists and psychiatrists are supposed to have their best interests at heart, and then diagnose them as having gender dysphoria and green light surgery to change them into something that is irreversible, is sick and debased beyond words. I would rather just watch a hot male stripper revelling in his own maleness and sharing it with the rest. I love, love, love drag queens with all their built-in camp. There is something about drag queens that comes across as tough and resilient and old-school that I admire so much. And so politically incorrect! The exaggerated and distorted interpretation of feminity is irony at its most sublime. And most queens are very gifted with supplying the sharp comeback! And I also really like RuPual. I was sort of indifferent to him until I read where he stood up for the controversial comic Shirley Q. Liquor against detractors who said that Miss Liquor was racist and offensive. RuPaul stepped in and said, no and that you have to first understand where the person is coming from before coming to conclusions. And Miss Shirley was coming from a place of love and affection. There is a place of non-judgmental observation. There just HAS to be. Another thing I really like about RuPaul is that she really is her own person and seems very difficult to peg as a liberal or a conservative. My guess is that RuPaul isn't really interested in politics much, anyway.

They are born entertainers and comedians. The feminine though, appears so much easier to mock than the masculine, which is better interpreted by a non-drag comedian male I find. I really don’t know much of Ru Paul to voice an opinion about. He/she would be a part of the US culture of entertainment more. Does Ru identify as male and gay?

I also never tell people to "fuck off" like Stammaman did merely because I disagree with them. Oh wow, as a gay man I have a different opinion of asexuality than some straight man. I addressed an issue. But like you, he made personal attacks on me. Your newfound buddy Stammaman spit the f-bomb in my face over a subjective disagreement on the issues. I'm glad you enjoyed that.
And yes, I'm tired of breeders claiming superiority over us because they spit out babies. And I'm tired of paying taxes to support the neglected children of deadbeat dads.
Yes, I'm a queer supremacist. I make no apologies.

The issue is whether or not transgender belongs in the queer movement. Like you said, transvestites are heterosexual males who get their heterosexual thrill from women's clothes. Drag queens may be entertainers on stage. But many of them, like in Stonewall riots, are gay men who wear women's clothes casually or at the clubs. So I must believe there is some element of transgender involved. So as to whether we as gay men acknowledge the 'T' as part of our struggle, they are part of our community.
Here's pics from the Stonewall riots and demonstrations. Guys in drag were forefront.

Awww, come on, Gameboy! You say whatever you want to others, refer to people as fools and idiots regularly. And you give yourself no margin for ever being wrong. I agree with Stammerhead about a couple of your online personality traits. You come off like, shall we say, EXTREMELY confident, so I didn't feel all that much compunction to hold back. I mean, come on, you can't not know that about yourself. You can come across as being this self-rightepus, superior person who is the most sexually knowledgeable person in the room. Yes? Look at that fascist hateful pig, thinking he is serving the best interests of the public by protecting them, when these gay guys did nothing except drink at bar. F<>king appalling!!!
With drag queens of that era, no-one would know what they really identified as, each individual is different, and if they liked being born male and being gay and just liked to entertain for attention and dressing up as women got them that. Today, we need to look at what Transgender really means because it has been more clearly defined. I hardly hear the term drag queen thrown around anyore, just that a guy dressed as up as a woman is now a Trans. We don't know that, but I think drag queens would only dress up in drag when about to perform and I'd say that most don't go out in public dressed in drag, unless on a pride parade. Trans want to pass off as women at ALL times.
Genuine gay guys DO NOT want to be women. Even if T was all tied up in a struggle in the past, the lines still blurred. They are more delineated today. LGB is just fine for me. The rest can take their disorders somewhere else. I do not have a sexual disorder, nor a gender dysphoria, just for being sexually attracted to the gender I was born as, nor do I care to be lumped in with those that are outside the 'authentic' sexuality sphere.

You wouldn't believe the self-righteous homophobia I found on IMDb when I started posting. So I really am on a mission when I post online. I'm not some weak sissy looking for approval from straights. They must accept us on our terms.
As for Stamm, I've known him online for years. And we're both getting old. But he's getting especially crotchety in his old age.
So it's all good. I just wanted us to talk directly about this.
Perhaps you just pushed his Asexual buttons in his dotage. There is something there.

Okay, that's a great line. And it's true. We three give this forum a heavy dose of Homo Superiority.

Ah well, at least you didn’t call me a retard and a spastic this time. So it’s all good. You take umbrage at my use of epithets like "retard" and "spastic". Ableism! But I don't think I've ever called you either.
