Ironic that Ginger is all alone now and she was the one who didn't do the reunion movies (she did appear with them on a talk show in the late 80s).

At least Gilligan and the Skipper will be getting some coconut cream pies in heaven now. RIP angel.

RiP In addition to Gilligan's Island, she also appeared as a guest star on one of my favorite series The Wild Wild West, in the episode "The Night of the Headless Woman".

Awwwww.... That is sad. I hope death is more peaceful (and pleasant) than life.

That makes me think of Dawn Weiner aka Weinerdog.

Sad news. Like Lea Thompson, Dawn Wells was a ballerina who gave up hopes of pursuing a professional career in dance due to physical issues and instead turned her attention to acting.
I've gone and ordered an out of print copy of 'The Town That Dreaded Sundown' (1976) on dvd, as released by Eureka Entertainment. I look forward to seeing Wells' work here for the first time and, no doubt, remembering what a fine actress she was. Also, Cindy Butler who we lost in May of this year.
Wells was terrific in 'Return To Boggy Creek' (1977), the second installment in the 'Boggy Creek' saga.
Don't miss 'Silent But Deadly' (2012), her final foray into horror.

I had been thinking this entire century that the day the most beautiful babe who ever appeared on screen passed away, that it would signify the end of an era.
This is the landmark end of the era. The end of 2020, a landmark year, and so it ends. No woman ever matched the sex symbol appeal of Dawn Wells to the young men, not in percentages. Every boy wanted her. Okay, the boy who wore lipstick and high heels didn't want her, but every other boy did.
I guess it's only fitting that it happens at the end of 2020. That makes this a tragic year for me. I lost no family members. I lost no relatives on either my mom's side or my father's side, of about 400 relatives, nearly half of them over 50. But this tore into me. I always knew that this would be the only celebrity death I would take truly hard.
A lot of people will probably think the last Beatle will mark the "end of the era", but this is even bigger.
