Actress Olympia Dukakis passed away today at 89. Her Oscar-winning role in Moonstruck was certainly well-deserved. She was also memorable in Steel Magnolias, especially when she offers Shirley McLaine to a distraught Shirley Field when she wants to hit something, and in the underrated Away From Her. A wonderful actress. R.I.P.

I remember Lee Aaker as "Rusty," on The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin. In looking at his IMDb page, I was surprised to learn that he also played the role of little J.B. Dorset, in "The Ransom of Red Chief," segment in O Henry's Full House (1952). He was a delightful foil to kidnappers Fred Allen, and Oscar Levant. R.I.P. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuONfQg-17Y
