One could say that he was very sparse once he became famous, that lad from Putney in London, he was born as an illegitimate child on nearly the last day of 1908. He embarked on an acting career while still in his late teens. A period in the theatrical company of the thriller writer Edgar Wallace and he became his personal assistant in 1927. During a directing career that spanned from 1935 and 1972 he directed surprisingly few movies the more famous he got, The poll is totally open, but pls only vote for favorites, or at least vote for those you would give 6/10 and higher.

I’ve seen 6.
Night Train to Munich The Third Man Odd Man Out Trapeze Flap Oliver!
The top three are 7/10. Flap and Oliver! are 6.5/10. I need to rewatch Trapeze because it’s been too long, but it would not rate lower than a 6/10.

Give or take the Kubrick I'd say it was Mason's best. If you Google the title followed by a space and ok.ru you should find it. Or I think it on bfi site. Hope you like it.

Only seen The Third Man and Odd Man Out - both great. His hands, not Welles's, frantically sticking out of the sewer grate in The Third Man.

Surprised at how many I haven’t seen, how many I am not very 8nterested in seeing.
I like OUR MAN IN HAVANA a lot better than a lot of people. My main complaint is that Burl Ives, a fine actor was terribly miscast. Maureen OHARA was very good with Alec Guinness.
i would like to see a KID FOR TWO FARTHINGS, and THE STARS LOOK DOWN.
