Calculus is useful for animators who want to plot motions in a gravitationally accurate way. I suppose that trigonometry is useful for those who construct objects and I imagine that roboticists use it a lot. Permutations are the sort of math that I've found most useful. That sort of math is good for anybody from pianists who want to figure out musical possibilities and those who want to understand digital monitors and the amount of visual possibilities contained within them. While we don't use certain kinds of math very often sometimes as laypeople, if you want to reach your full potential, you'll end up using a lot of math.
