I haven't seen it myself, but I remembered it was banned from Swedish cinemas, and when video came around became a "must see", since video was outside Swedish censorship laws.
One of many movies causing moral panic among parents demanding laws and rules against violence on video, instead of actually talking to their kids hoping someone else could be blamed, so typical (at least in Sweden).

Good crime movie from filmmaker Jonathan Kaplan. It's one of Quentin Tarantino's favourite movies.

All I remember of that movie is Nichelle Nichols (original Star Trek's Uhura) cursing like Dolemite (!) and uniformed air force base guards sporting hippy sideburns.
...And Yaphet Kotto has an oddly filmed death.
