"Mashed," is a popular YouTube channel. They do a variety of presentations, including How-to, and Did-you-know? They also look at popular social trends, and, sometimes feature specific companies and products. In the video below, they look at food product shortages that have been the result of Covid, during 2020 ... and, the likelihood of those shortages continuing into/through our bright, shiny new year. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bN2XkNZoRTY

Thanks for sharing the video. I remember the long waits for yeast, flour and sugar to be restocked. Also many canned soups and the meat shortages/skyrocketing prices. I couldn't find canned roast beef hash for quite some time or a brand of soft butter that we really liked. It never has come back on our store's shelves. I'm still looking for the canned zucchini in tomato sauce. Don't know what happened to it.

I'm still waiting for the stores to get in 12 packs of Vanilla Coke, it's been over 6 months. There's definitely no shortage of all the diet Cokes, and they're not selling clear out, so why can't they sacrifice one batch of them each month to put out the vanilla, orange vanilla, cherry vanilla, etc.?

I think that this video answered one of my "shortage" questions. Safeway sells a line of seltzer waters that are fruit flavored, without sweeteners. My favorite is "Mixed Berry." It started disappearing from the shelves in the early fall. They continued with ample supply of lime, lemon, grapefruit and "plain." I really missed it. Now, I'm guessing that the combination of low availability of carbon dioxide, AND aluminium, likely forced Safeway to put only the most favored flavors on the shelf. I've been drinking the lime flavor, and, last week I found raspberry on the shelf. Can "mixed berry," be far behind?? Maybe things are looking up.

No bread in the Iceland store today, not a single loaf of any description. Unbelievable, just like the frenzied buying last year except this time they had run out because of staff shortages/staff quarantine issues along the chain of supply, distribution and delivery.
On this muggy day, I just felt like having simple sandwiches with simple sliced bread, nothing fancy. I got my sliced chorizo, I got my pepperoni salami, I got my Bertolli olive oil spread, I turned to the bread aisle and got nothing. There were a few packs of bagels so I bought bagels instead. No choice but to.

I haven't been having too much of a problem finding it, until recently... I've tried a half dozen different stores, over the last couple of weeks, and no vanilla coke in sight... Saw Coffee Coke, today, though... Seriously? I don't know of anyone who drinks that. It's sounds nasty... They could give that one a break for a while to make Vanilla Coke... Oh, and By The Way... Why can't these companies release these flavors in 2 LITER BOTTLES? I've never seen Vanilla Coke, in 2 Liter Bottles... Not saying they have to do it forever, but as long as this can shortage continues, make the switch...
