But I cannot absolutely imagine being both blind and deaf.
How would you experience or understand anything about life and the world and the universe?
Simply through touch?
How would you learn or understand language? Could you even?
And assuming you had no knowledge of language or communication, except through touch, how would you formulate thoughts in your mind? What would you even think of? Would you know what you were thinking?
How would you relate to your parents, relatives, and friends? Would you even know who they are?
How would you survive or plan for your future if your family is no longer around?
Can any of us who have all or most of our senses even fathom such a predicament?

Helen Keller was lucky enough to have someone who could find a way to help her communicate.

I was thinking the same things before I found out about Hellen Keller. Read up on her how she was taught. She was quite smart and more than capable expressing herself once she learned how - through touch mostly. I mean she could even read lips by touch!! I agree its quite puzzling, but the brain is an Amazing tool, capable of changing based on current needs - plus dont forget we dont use it to its full capacity.

Helen Keller was lucky enough to have someone who could find a way to help her communicate. Just remarkable. I can't imagine overcoming such obstacles.
