It was perfectly watchable, with some good performances. Then the whole thing was undermined by a truly awful final scene, for anyone who thought the end of Dead Poets Society was too edgy.

It's well acted and has your snappy Sorkin dialogue, though I found some of the changes from history egregious. Sure, The Social Network wasn't exactly a documentary either, but the creation of Facebook is fairly low stakes and apolitical compared to this. I'd still give it about a 7/10, though.

I love everything Sorkin does. One of the greatest writers of all time, IMO.
This was another Sorkin masterpiece. Well acted and engaging, it certainly surpassed my expectations.

I will never understand why Sorkin didn't at least nab an Oscar nom for his script A Few Good Men - 92'.

I also found Baron Cohen way too old for his role, I know he had it for a decade, but still.

I will never understand why Sorkin didn't at least nab an Oscar nom for his script A Few Good Men - 92'. What movies would you not have nominated instead? The ones where logic should really dictate that a best picture nominee like AFGM which was driven by its dialogue and writing to make it the film it was, to be the more deserving or relevant choice. Now, it was a a strong year for film in 92’ and the other nominees for adapted screenplay one could say were worthy too, but since AFGM to my mind has stood up to the test of time and could now be considered a classic, anyone of the 3 films that received an adapted screenplay nom and weren’t up for picture could have been eliminated. I doubt they would have been missed as much.
