Leonard Maltin said that "Thank God It's Friday" is the worst movie to have ever won an Oscar, but I disagree. I kind of like that movie. It's a clunky charmer.
But right off the top of my head, I would say "Schindler's List" and "Titanic", both of which I found to be trite, boring, overlong and pompous.

Sam Mendez - American Beauty and American Beauty. I really just can't stand that film although Mendez is a good Director and have liked most of his other movies.

If you count winning an Oscar for a different category or two: I really liked the first one, I watched a few clips of the sequel, I have no desire to watch the rest I honestly found the sequel to be reasonably funny. You can’t go in expecting much from a movie called Dumb and Dumber To. It’s as dumb as it suggests and I found it quite entertaining. |

Saying "you can't expect much from a movie called Dumb & Dumber To" is no excuse. It is a poorly written and very lazy movie and I while I did laugh a handful of times, the movie is mostly unfunny. The original is hilarious and well written for what it is, the sequel is not.

Yes, I hate that movie, too. I haven't seen in a while, but have always liked it. I think the film tends to push all the wrong buttons for the right reasons.
