I say let him have a shot. It can't be any worse than the Jennifer Garner one.

Sure why not. Now we just need a fitting actress.

Wouldn't you prefer someone with any understanding of a fictional character?

Of course he does. Sucker Punch Elektra is right up his alley.

One problem is he would cast the part horribly, look at Gal Gadot and Malin Akerman.

Just tell him he directed the 2005 version. He may as well have, and he'd probably believe you.

Only if the roles are altered to suit the characters. Which they were. How was Wonder Woman altered to suit Gadot’s casting? She was made more badass and warriorlike instead of the campier Linda Carter version? Seriously though, most roles will be influenced at least a tiny bit by what the actor brings to the role. That doesn't mean that the casting was wrong though. As I said before, I have many complaints about Snyder but casting choices is usually not one of them. He doesn't always make perfect casting choices of course, but for the most part his casting is pretty solid. After all, Cavill as Superman, Gadot as Wonder Woman, Momoa as Aquaman, Traue as Faora, Butler as Leonidas, that whole cast of Sucker Punch.... all pretty solid.

They made her an "innocent" Disney princess, gave the important dialogue to other characters and gave her natural accent to all the Amazons because she couldn't do a different one.

You're not going to get anywhere going after Lynda Carter. But yeah if you love wooden actors playing flat characters you will love Snyder films.

She’s not very “innocent” in BvS, which is when she made her debut. Also, who cares about the accent? Wonder Woman doesn’t need to sound American.

She had to be made that way to actually do her own movie though, that is the point. Whether you care about the accent or not it still happened for that reason.
