Now as far as owning movies, yeah the demand for DVD/blu-ray will be around for quite some time I would think. I myself am a collector, so I hope video discs will stay.

Sad news. Bluray/DVD sales are a shadow of what they were 10 years ago and with Disney's buy out of Fox and WB announcing lots of layoffs including those in their film restoration and curation group it doesn't bear well for physical sales in the future. Hopefully Sony/Universal/Paramount continues to license out their catalog titles to third party bluray/DVD publishing companies like Criterion, Kino Lorber, etc.

We had a Family Video here that was popular for porn. We always thought that was funny.
