Yeah, 2.0 members didn't have anything good to say about the riots but what we say in here doesn't matter that much, it's such a small percentage of people that come in here. I'd like to hear a politician came out as strong against the riots as they're doing for those that are storming the CB. Instead, they kneeled before it and said "America bad, protestors good". I suppose when they feel like their lives and/or livelihoods are in jeopardy, they're say something.
One of Biden's quotes did strike me as a bit odd... "this is an assault on the rule of law".
Well, no shit, so were the riots.
To be honest, I'm NOT much of a fan of democrat policies and their way of thinking. All this bending the knee, PC garbage, social changes, giving tax payer money to other nations, open borders etc..etc.. doesn't sit very well with me.
Although, I really don't like Trump that much either. I'm certainly not going down any rabbit hole with him but I agree with many of his ideas about this nation and where it's headed. The fact is, a lot of people just don't trust the government now days. Or perhaps its always been like this and Trump was able to tap into the types that are "skeptical" about the going ons in Washington.
However, I wouldn't say this is a "incredibly sad day in the America". Watching all those businesses destroyed (many of them black owned businesses) was much sadder to watch. Hell, the 9/11 attack was perhaps the saddest day of all in our nation's history. The truth is, the gov has to do a better job and stop blaming America for everything.
We know you say that but in practise it's the contrary. You said a while back ago that you were pro life but supported abortion in cases of rape/incest, but I know you're perfectly content with strict anti-abortion laws like the moronic heartbeat bill imposed by religious freaks that you support. You were a weasel in the old boards just like you are now. You couldn't be a man and call a spade a spade. These thugs nearly committed murder and you find that reasonable. I'm also confident that you are fine with the inflammatory rhetoric perpetuated by anti abortion providers from organisations like LifeSite News. The same rhetoric that has led to bombings, shootings and vandalism by Pro Life freaks of your ilk.
WHAT THE FUCK?? what does this have to do with abortion?
Ya stupid moron!
I've never even heard of lifesite news but I did look at their website. Hmmmm, I do agree with them on some things. I'm going to donate some money to them. Thanks for sharing their name.
Besides that, they can say whatever they want about abortion. They're American citizens. And as Americans, they have the right to free speech. I could even call you a "baby killer" if I wanted to. You know, free speech and all, it's the democratic way. You see, in this country, we listen to both sides of the argument then go to the polls and vote. that's how things get done in America. Glad I could instruct you on how to be an American. You can thank me later.

I don't condone it. In fact, I don't agree with doing this at all. But this is what happens when you dish out 4 years of conspiracies against a duly elected president. Trump is a very powerful man, he could get hordes of his supporters to storm any govermnet building in the country if he wanted to. Let's just be glad he told his supporters to "go home" yesterday.
The fact is, The media chose to stroke the flames of division against Trump and this is the result. But will the media learn anything from this?? Doubtful.... it will always be "Trump bad, Liberal media goooood" with no gray area in between.
All Trump does is float baseless conspiracy theories, it's all he's ever done. He was an Obama 'birther' back in the day, and literally made up stats about racial violence while he was running for President in 2016. Bill O'Reilly of all people had to cut him off because he was so full of shit. Remember the Bowling Green Massacre? Qanon, bullshit election fraud claims that have been thrown out of court by judges Trump himself appointed? Claims he was repeating during the chaos yesterday, shortly after a riot he himself incited. We should be glad he told them to go home after he told them to riot? If the media is to blame for anything, it's for giving the guy a platform back in 2016.

Biden condemned the rioting last year. And nobody on this board was openly celebrating destruction of public and private property the way some people on this board are celebrating this attack on democracy. And that's what this is, whether you want to admit it or not. All summer long, the same people on this board were calling protestors rioters and terrorists, and calling for heavy police involvement. "The radical left" was the real threat to democracy. Now that radical right wingers have literally stormed the US Capitol in an effort to subvert democracy, it's just people standing up for themselves. Nothing to see here. Just like the rioters themselves, who three months ago would've cited 'supporting the police' as one of their reasons for voting Trump, were now lined up screaming at police and calling them traitors-- for protecting our democracy from the lunatic fringe. The hypocrisy truly knows no bounds. I'm trying to imagine the conservative reaction (in general as well as on this board) had Trump won the election and it was BLM or some other left leaning group leading the charge on the Capitol yesterday. Oh, boy. The riots of the summer were terrible for America, not only for those they directly affected, but for the psyche of the nation itself. This is far, far worse. This is an attack on the very heart of our republic, both functionally and symbolically. There's a reason terrorists didn't fly planes into a Target or Joe's coffee shop. Centers of trade and government, landmarks that symbolize our culture have a greater impact than the destruction of a city block ever could. (And in case I need to repeat it, both instances are unacceptable.) What these crackpots did yesterday weakened our republic on so many levels. They showed enemies of the state (both foreign and domestic) how easy it would be to completely destroy our infrastructure. How many terrorists, hostile governments and basement nut jobs are kicking themselves today, wishing they had thought of this? "All we needed was a group of people wearing MAGA hats and waving flags, and they'll just let us walk into the Capitol during a congressional session with who knows how many weapons and IEDs?" I want to praise the security detail for their incredible restraint, but truthfully I cannot. The lives they put at risk, in the short term and long; the stakes are too high. In the chaos of the evacuation, computers were left on, email accounts left open. Sensitive material available for anyone to leak, or sell to the highest bidder. In theory, the risk should be low, but it's just another example of how incredibly dangerous this situation was, and it remains a major national security threat. Motive. BLM and the related protests, some of which progressed into riots-- some of which intentionally incited by agents of chaos on the other side-- were touched off by the execution of a black man in full view of a crowd of people. At that time the most recent event in a recurring theme of police brutality and systemic racism in America. Rioting and destruction should never be the answer, but you can understand why some people felt pushed to the brink of reason when they feel as if the oppression is going to crush them at any time. Yesterday's insanity was incited by one lunatic, and carried about by (from what I could see of the coverage) a mob of possibly the least oppressed segment of humanity in history-- American Caucasians of the late 20th to early 21st centuries. Literally nobody has ever had it better than us, but we're mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore. They weren't being casually killed in the street by police; their guy lost an election. And he whined, and he tried to cheat and steal it away, and when all that failed, he attended a rally yesterday and told his supporters to march on the Capitol, and that "You'll never take back our country with weakness, you have to show strength." What did he think a crowd of people featuring guy in face paint dressed like a buffalo were going to do? He knew exactly what they would do. “Big protest in DC on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!” Just the latest disgusting display by a complete sociopath with no regard for civility, democracy or humanity; and the latest example of his followers being so far out of touch with reality that they believe the way you show patriotism is trying to subvert democracy after an election doesn't go their way, and kicking out windows at the Capitol building. As an US citizen, I'm sickened by what I saw yesterday. If you complained about rioters this summer, yet are applauding yesterday's events, you have no place in a serious discussion about politics or social issues.
Rey,
Did Biden give us a televised speech addressing the nation about this, you know, the same way he did about those storming the CB?
Did he ever once call it "an assault on the rule of law"? Nope, this is what he said - "We are a nation furious at injustice". In other words, he understands the fury people are feeling, in fact, its almost like he's saying, "it's sort of America's fault that some are feeling angry about Floyd's death but I don't like the violence".
There you go, very similar to what Trump said yesterday but what Trump said is now the worst thing anyone could ever say in life.
I see a lot of corniness like this coming from the media and politicians in general.
And to you it might seem like "subverting democracy" but it's not to those STCB, They think they're standing up for democracy and want to see fair elections. Another quote -
did you say this about the Floyd riots or just about this incident?
and this -
It was horrible watching Floyd die like this. No one with a clear mind could actually say they enjoyed watching that. But we know today that the man wasn't executed, he died of a drug overdose. In fact, I doubt the officers in question are going to do any serious prison time over this. And yes, that will probably spark more riots.
However, this is an entirely different topic, you can start a thread on it but this will probably be all I will say in this thread about Floyd's death.
And 'systemic racism' is debatable but again, that's another topic we can talk about later.
Then you go on to talk about whites being the least oppressed ever. Americans of all races have struggles. You just haven't been around enough to see it. No one has a "perfect life" in America or in the entire world for that matter.
Now, your quotes about Trump I will agree with. He needs to drop the election conspiracy stuff. Although, I do find it VERY hard to believe that Biden got over 80 million votes, but we have to press on and let it go. If some politicians want to challenge the election results, that's fine, let'em do it. This is democracy at stake after all. So, why not look into it?
There are some things that do seem a little suspicious about Biden winning but nothing that would make me think it's some grand conspiracy. But again, thanks to the media, every election from now on is going to be met with conspiracy nuttiness. It is what it is....

Systemic racism is not debatable. Biden's reaction to the BLM protests were different because the circumstances were different, as I already explained. But this isn't about Biden. Why do you keep making comparisons to riots that destroyed businesses compared to what could happen if an enemy of the state successfully blew up the capitol with congress inside? It's a ridiculous argument, and again I already explained why. Blaming the media for yesterday's chaos is a joke. The 'liberal media' tells people Trump is wrong, so how can the liberal media be blamed when Trump tells people to riot at the capitol and they listen to him? You complain about conspiracies while insisting there is something suspicious about outcomes that didn't go in your favor. They did look into the election fraud claims, and found nothing. Thanks to Trump (who did this in advance last time, remember? He only shut up about it when he won), every election from now on is going to be met with conspiracy nuttiness.

It almost sounds as if you're trying to justify today's attack on the United States Capitol by our own citizens because you were unhappy with the George Floyd riots - which were also condemned by a majority of the population
I do not recall any politicians supporting looting, rioting and destruction of property
Then you're not paying attention -
Here's a few that actually downplayed it or in some ways, supported it -
Granted, many of these peeps are not mainstream everyday politicians but then again, this is the only image I remember from the mainstream democrats -
But this is what happens when you dish out 4 years of conspiracies against a duly elected president. That's a good one, freak. Anti Jew Arabs and Islamic apologists say the same thing about their belligerents, i.e. Israel. That's part and parcel for Nazi types like you. The media chose to stroke the flames of division against Trump and this is the result.Donald Trump is a world leader. A man who was elected on a campaign of pouring scorn on the media, his opponents, and promoting hate and stupid fantasies. Trump has no honesty or integrity, he'll get no respect from the media. He has to suck it up and accept that. Gerry Adams/Martin McGuiness get no love from the Irish media despite them being Sinn Fein leaders, they are murderers who have no remorse, despite them being "peacekeepers". Doubtful.... it will always be "Trump bad, Liberal media goooood" with no gray area in between.
Rioters were condemned in all outlets. It's not our fault that Republican oriented media promote outright lies and misleading propaganda to stir up their retards to violence.

Don’t be a fucking obtuse retard. If you’re defending what happened yesterday then you’re part of the problem.
Hey, I don't condone the shit but this is what happens when....
It's what happens when what? When your candidate loses an election and then baselessly claims it was stolen from him? Because this was a direct response to Trump's insistence that the election was stolen from him, despite all evidence to the contrary.
