Hey, I don't condone the shit but this is what happens when....
It's what happens when what? When your candidate loses an election and then baselessly claims it was stolen from him? Because this was a direct response to Trump's insistence that the election was stolen from him, despite all evidence to the contrary. What injustice are they rising up against, the democratic process?
You think this is only about the election? There's more to it than this. You think everyone just woke up yesterday morning and said to themselves "my guy didn't win, so I'm going to DC to storm the CB"?
You and frank are being very obtuse about this.

Considering how the police tended to stand down against left-wing riots all year, I'd say the number shot would be zero. I don't think it's a virtue that the left will riot on their own volition, while ring-wingers need to be cajoled. Still only one fringe group that stormed the US Capitol, and it wasn't a liberal one.Β Still only one political figure that told his followers to do it, and it wasn't a liberal one.Β I don't think that's a virtue. Β I guess libs can be thankful they were denied the opportunity to behave badly ... now they can clutch their pearls and pretend that they would never do such a thing!

1. Trump knew what was going to happen before yesterday, I think at least a few of them did too. 2. I want you to tell me what it's about. Why did they do it? What injustices are they raging against? I don't think you can answer this question because you realize the absurdity of whatever you'd have to come up with.

I don't think that's a virtue. I guess libs can be thankful they were denied the opportunity to behave badly ... now they can clutch their pearls and pretend that they would never do such a thing! We've had this conversation in reverse. Trump supporters promised 'Civil War' if he lost the election in 2016. Remember that? Luckily we'll never know what would've happened, because he won! (After claiming the whole thing was rigged beforehand.) You said you can't blame them for something they only threatened to do. Well in your imaginary scenario (which I concurred was a real possibility), here we are. You're condemning something that never happened in a pathetic attempt to defend inexcusable behavior by your representative group. 'Libs' didn't storm the Capitol, fringe lunatics on the right did. And judging by yesterday's fiasco (four dead, pipe bombs, a hidden gun-- and that's just the stuff they've found so far), who knows what would've happened in 2016 had Trump lost? I guess we can all be thankful they didn't have that opportunity to behave badly? I already explained, in this thread, why people rioted last year. I also said then, as well as now, that it was unacceptable. But you can see the difference, right? That a man being executed in the street by the authorities is a much better reason to be upset with the authorities, the government, American society in general, than a kook telling you to riot because he lost an election fair and square? You know what's scary? It isn't over yet. Trump is still out there plotting, and his psychotic base is more emboldened than ever.

For 1 Covid is a hoax - they're making us wear masks.
It's not about safety - it's about controlling us.
We're losing our rights and freedoms by wearing a mask when we have to walk into a store to buy milk for 2 minutes
#2 - I will not be injected with a vaccine
Didn't you hear? Bill Gates wants to wipe out a portion of the population. This is what the vaccine is really about - wiping a portion of us out and controlling us. That's what those 'Real ID' cards are all about too and the 5G - it's about control. Wake up
Now if you'll excuse me I have a 'Save The Children' protest to attend as I condemn Tom Hanks for being a cannabalistic Satan worshipping pedophile and denounce the Clintons for murdering thousands

Any time I read some article from the media in regards to Trump, I have to take it with a grain of salt.
Let's see here.... nope, Trump didn't tell anyone to STCB and he didn't say it was going to happen either.
There you go again, Rey. Don't be a media zombie, bro. Think for yourself.... be an independent like me.

That's what I thought. You can't answer the question so you avoid it. And you're using the same defense Trump himself would use. He didn't actually say, "Go storm the capitol." He told them to march down to the capitol, and "You'll never take back our country with weakness, you have to show strength." You don't have an argument, you only talk in circles and make vague statements devoid of context or critical thought. For the record, I'm an independent voter and a hell of lot more patriotic than you'll ever be. Only a zombie would be on the internet defending a lunatic like Trump. I suggest reading a few more books, a few less right wing websites, and learning a little about how the world actually works. The next four years are going to be hard on you, I hope for everyone's sake that you don't riot (or worse) on Trump's command, or because of some perceived slight by the liberal media or whatever bogeyman your extremist handlers come up with next.

Rey Kahuka stickman38 good debate! i think the major issue is that people of both sides treat their personal expectations as a form of objective truth, and when those aren't met the object of the expectations is deemed 'crazy'---even though, the object would have no idea what the expectations are.

You call that a debate? That was me destroying rey, frank, treefrog and senan. It was like taking candy from a baby, waaay too easy. I've seen 10 year olds that can debate better then these four.
But yeah, you are correct. All I did was give everyone my opinion on the situation and the next thing you know, I'm a "nazi". LOL!
Typical internet response, though. The name-calling came rather quickly too with words like "retard" and "weasel" and questioning my manhood. Whatever....
It never fails though, the left is usually the first to start with the name-calling. It's kind of funny to watch actually.

For better or worse, the images from yesterday were absolutely stunning to see. I always wondered what it would look like to see American citizens storm the Capitol in protest of the government, and there it was, for all to see. Pretty awesome imagery when you think about it.
And lasting as well, the one time in my life where the Capitol was overtaken, and it was done by Trump supporters.
The lasting image from yesterday's riots? Trump supporters having a party INSIDE the Capitol building.
The lasting image from the George Floyd riots? A Wendy's engulfed in flames? A retired black police officer murdered in cold blood? Small businesses being destroyed?
And for all this talk about how Trump incites these kinds of things, let us not forget Hillary calling on the "Resistance" the day after the 2016 election, Maxine Waters telling her voters to "get in the face of Trump supporters", Chuck Schumer telling his voters "we'll get him, no matter what", and of course the chorus of liberals who have talked about Trump supporters being "singled out" and perhaps losing their jobs over supporting a political candidate.
I know one thing after yesterday.....I'm sure as shit glad I'm on the white side, oops I meant right side, if and when the shit REALLY hits the fan. πππΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ

Two people asked you to explain what the protest was actually about and you couldn't. This reply itself is incredibly juvenile and reveals your true colors as if there were any doubt.

BLM were protesting people being killed in the street. I'll ask you since the other guy can't come up with anything. What were they protesting yesterday?

I think that if BLM and Progressive groups can be free to protest out in the streets, then ALL groups should be allowed the same freedoms. There's no proof of any shenanigans though. We can agree to disagree on that, but really there's no evidence whatsoever. And we're all frustrated about the lockdown, but I didn't see signs about that. All the people on the footage I was watching last night had Trump 2020 flags and 'Stop The Steal' signs. It's certainly what Trump thought the riot was about, since it's all he talked about at the rally and all he tweeted about during the riot, even when he eventually told people to go home. They scheduled it for the 6th because that was the day they were certifying the results of the election. Everyone is free to protest in the streets, but just as I draw a hard line at property destruction, I draw a harder line at kicking your way into the US Capitol. Even if you're personally there for ha-has, you have no idea if the guy next to you is a crank with an IED, a foreign agent ready to plant surveillance equipment, etc. They provided a possible blueprint for future attacks on high value targets across the nation. It was incredibly reckless and dangerous behavior for a group of people who insist they're the real patriots. Thanks for a thoughtful reply, it was much better discussion than we got from the other guy.
