I think some were protesting what they thought was a rigged election. While there wasn't enough to give Trump the needed votes, there is NO DOUBT WHATSOEVER that shenanigans took place in states like Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan.....legitimate shenanigans. That in itself should be enough to get us ALL pissed off, not just MAGA people. I think it's fair to say that most of us don't think that elections are being done fairly right now, and that should concern EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US. I think there is something more to it than just the election result. Trump supporters have been branded with every kind of label that a liberal who doesn't believe in labels can come up with, and I think a lot of those folks are a little sick of being calling Nazi's because they support a certain candidate. There's also a LOT of growing frustration with lockdowns and businesses being closed, and to be honest, I think we're gonna see a lot more protests, potentially violent ones, in the future if these lockdowns continue. I'm not defending these people, but I sure as shit ain't gonna condemn them either. I think that if BLM and Progressive groups can be free to protest out in the streets, then ALL groups should be allowed the same freedoms. There's no proof of any shenanigans though. We can agree to disagree on that, but really there's no evidence whatsoever. And we're all frustrated about the lockdown, but I didn't see signs about that. All the people on the footage I was watching last night had Trump 2020 flags and 'Stop The Steal' signs. It's certainly what Trump thought the riot was about, since it's all he talked about at the rally and all he tweeted about during the riot, even when he eventually told people to go home. They scheduled it for the 6th because that was the day they were certifying the results of the election. Everyone is free to protest in the streets, but just as I draw a hard line at property destruction, I draw a harder line at kicking your way into the US Capitol. Even if you're personally there for ha-has, you have no idea if the guy next to you is a crank with an IED, a foreign agent ready to plant surveillance equipment, etc. They provided a possible blueprint for future attacks on high value targets across the nation. It was incredibly reckless and dangerous behavior for a group of people who insist they're the real patriots. Thanks for a thoughtful reply, it was much better discussion than we got from the other guy. We'll have to disagree about possible shenanigans in the 2020 election. There actually already have been numerous examples of possible voter fraud in all of those states I've mentioned, not to mention the numerous sworn statements made by folks who worked in some capacity in this election saying that they witnessed fraudulent things taking place. You don't sign a sworn affidavit just because you're a frustrated Trump supporter. Once again, there obviously wasn't enough there to overturn the results, but there's enough there to get any citizen concerned, regardless of political affiliation. And btw, thank you for not threatening to shoot me because we disagree.

It’s unfortunate Hillary said that if Biden should find himself on the losing end of a tight election, “he should not concede under any circumstance”. Apparently, Trump listened.
It’s unfortunate that when the Democrat leadership had the opportunity to condemn the protest violence that was devastating vast areas of the inner cities, they flat out refused. Apparently, Trump watched.
It’s unfortunate that the Democrat Vice President expressed her support of endless protests even though she knew that they often resulted in arson, violence and death. Apparently, Trump heard.
It’s unfortunate that so many Democrats said they would do anything to keep Trump from being re-elected. Apparently, Trump believed them.
Trumps behavior sure is a mystery!

Lies. Biden condemned the rioting in 2020 on several occasions. Trump is dogshit. He should think himself lucky he’s not going to be hanged.

This is patently false. And long before any of this happened, Trump called the 2016 election rigged, until he actually won it. So your entire post proves nothing. Trump was, is and forever shall remain a liar and a fraud. Semper idem.

Rey Kahuka stickman38 good debate! i think the major issue is that people of both sides treat their personal expectations as a form of objective truth, and when those aren't met the object of the expectations is deemed 'crazy'---even though, the object would have no idea what the expectations are.
You call that a debate? That was me destroying rey, frank, treefrog and senan. It was like taking candy from a baby, waaay too easy. I've seen 10 year olds that can debate better then these four.
But yeah, you are correct. All I did was give everyone my opinion on the situation and the next thing you know, I'm a "nazi". LOL!
Typical internet response, though. The name-calling came rather quickly too with words like "retard" and "weasel" and questioning my manhood. Whatever....
It never fails though, the left is usually the first to start with the name-calling. It's kind of funny to watch actually.
Still waiting to hear the depth of reasons beyond the election.

The fact that fraud is infinitely easier these days is also the Democrats fault. I’ve come to believe they think all this chaos is more of a feature than a flaw.

Brain cell? No accusations of "retardation" this time?

I’ve come to believe they think all this chaos is more of a feature than a flaw. You've got to see a difference between taking over a city block and taking over the US Capital? Right? Of course. Spending 4+ years to subvert a presidential election is quite the crime. The Dems have been trying to oust Trump, by any means necessary, throughout his entire term. Election fraud is also something that should be taken seriously. If anything, the Dems enable it. Trump is no angel and his behavior, post election, is a deal breaker for me. I can not condone his attempts to void the election with no actionable evidence. He may think he was cheated, he may have been cheated, but if you can’t prove it, 100%, it’s a fools endeavor with no upside. The Dems are a reflection of the worst of Trump. Fortunately for the Republicans, Trump is just one person. The Dem problem is party wide.

Of course. Spending 4+ years to subvert a presidential election is quite the crime. The Dems have been trying to oust Trump, by any means necessary, throughout his entire term. As happens to every president by the opposition. But you can't blame the opposition for Trump and his cronnies being so corrupt. Election fraud is also something that should be taken seriously. If anything, the Dems enable it. They do not, and it is taken seriously. I've heard of two republicans voting for their dead mothers, and one republican trying to get a secretary of state to "find" over 11,000 votes. The two mama's boys will be punished accordingly. Hopefully the third was is too, and any one else who committed voter fraud. I hope you are right. I hope men like Romney and McCain can take back the party. I don't think someone like that will be able to. The 2024 nomination will go to Trump, or whomever sucks up to Trump the most to get his endorsement.

Every single one of those people had that coming. If it was a black kid who rang somebody's doorbell and the home owner shot him, they'd claim Castle Doctrine. Storm the Capitol and it's "they work for us; we can go wherever we want!"

Every single one of those people had that coming. So everyone that stormed into the Capitol building should have been shot. So, in the George Floyd riots, should anyone who was looting a store been shot down as well?

The fact that fraud is infinitely easier these days is also the Democrats fault. I’ve come to believe they think all this chaos is more of a feature than a flaw. I'm suggesting your entire post is full of shit. Are you suggesting Trump didn't egg on protestors via twitter from his bunker last summer? Threatening them with "vicious dogs" and "ominous weapons" like some third world dictator? And then trying to incite an absolute riot by inviting his supporters to join the fray? 'All this chaos' is Trump's fault. He lied about covid, he lied about the election, he lied about everything. He can't open his mouth without lying. If anyone should know about fraud, it's a Trump supporter. Why is this always your angle? Your candidate is the biggest piece of shit in presidential history, but if you can point out disagreeable things the other side did, somehow it isn't as bad? Trump supporters storm the fucking Capitol and the best you can come up with is, "Well libs would've done the same thing." Congratulations on supporting a failed dictator. The man is a national disgrace whose actions led to the deaths of untold thousands of people via covid, and put the entire country at risk by inciting a riot at the Capitol. He told people to ignore covid (then he told them to inject disinfectant into their bloodstream), then he tried to undermine the democratic process. He told his supporters to march to the Capitol and "take back the country" through "strength." I'm not a Democrat, but the reason I won't be voting Republican anytime soon is because they produced, supported and enabled this fucker for four years. You reap what you sow.
