I miss the days when I could celebrate my birthday in peace, without being reminded of a major riot that occurred at our nation's capital... Thanks a lot, shithead Trump. Does anyone else here, have to share celebrating 'holidays' with national 'disaster' remembrances? I don't want to put a damper on the thread, but my mom died on my 36th birthday. A very weird thing to deal with, trust me. Very sorry to hear that.

My birthday is about a week before Independence Day, and 4 days before Canada Day/NHL Free Agency Frenzy... at least those are positive, celebratory things.

You really think that the Trump supporters did more damage than the George Floyd rioters? Seriously, are you that dumb? How many buildings were destroyed the other day in Washington? How many small businesses were looted? How many injuries and deaths occurred the other day compared to what happened during the summer? And more importantly, are you gonna honestly answer any of these questions? Both sides are fucked up, Ray. Get a friggin clue, will you? I explained this in detail already, multiple times. Let me ask you this. Though it was hard to tell the other day-- generally speaking, which has more security? A Wendy's, a mom and pop coffee shop or the US Capitol? Why do you suppose that is? The US Capitol is the center of our system of government! Burn down a Wendy's, they rebuild. Somebody walks into the Capitol while congress is in session with a bomb, surveillance equipment or a fucking thumb drive with a computer virus. Do you see what was at stake here? Terrorists don't care about Wendy's, they now have ideas about what it takes to circumvent security at the highest of high value targets: a MAGA hat and an American flag. Then you can walk right in! We don't know the ramifications of this from a security standpoint. We may never know what was compromised. It isn't about damage in dollars or lasting images of stuff on fire; it's much bigger than that. Thank you, this is all I wanted to hear. It's what I've been saying from the beginning. There's no defense for Wednesday's terrorist attack. "Some people who lean a different way politically also rioted and destroyed property." Yes. And? So now it's all clear for everyone to see that there are nuts on both sides who take things too far. We've been over the BLM protests already, I don't ever want to hear about conservatives being the party of law and order and supporting police after what we saw Wednesday. As you said, both sides are fucked up. Yeah, I know the mainstream media is now calling what happened Wednesday a "terrorist attack", which is really the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You seem to suckle at the mainstream media's teet, so I guess you're calling it terrorism as well. You tell people to stop watching YouTube videos, how bout you stop quoting Don Lemonhead?

There’s nothing stopping any of you from focusing on sports related issues only. Nothing is certainly stopping me. My mind is totally focused on my Packers winning it all and my Pacers maintaining their winning record.

The plan to occupy and force a shut down of the capital building by Democrats, fueled by fabricated stories about a Supreme Court nominee, and the subsequent emergency shut down by the Capital Police out of fear of the protesters never happened? Like your claim that the Democrats blocking a resolution to condemn the riots and violence never happened? If you’re too chicken-shit to address these things, pretending they never happened isn’t the solution, cupcake. As to your claim that Trump supporters threatened civil war back in 2016, I did find a YouTube video of a Trump supporter (singular) who expressed that sentiment. Big freakin’ whoop. It’s not like it’s Nancy Pelosi talking up “insurrection” against Trump because of his immigration policy. Yeah, that happened also, Ace. insurrection (n) - the violent uprising against an authority or government. The Democrats really need to look in a mirror before they bitch about Trump, and you need to get your head out of your ass the sand. That plan never came to fruition, cupcake/ace/sport/champ. What are you talking about? 160 people, who stormed into the capital, were arrested. You’re spinning like a top. You reference an article that quotes the exact same individual in the youtube clip I found. Between the two of us, we’ve found one guy talking about “civil war” in 2016. It took me 15 seconds to find him, and I heard what he said, first hand. It took you 30 seconds. Congratulations on you burgeoning google skills! That’s rather sexist of you, sport. You don’t think a pack of enraged women are capable of striking a police officer, resulting in his accidental death? Apparently you haven’t been watching some of the liberal female participation in the “mostly peaceful protests”, over the last year or so. This particular women’s group thought they were sufficiently threatening to “scare” the authorities into shutting things down. Why not? You’re milking a 2016 comment by a lone Trump supporter on youtube for all it’s worth! And now you’re making up visions of a murderous armed mob roaming the halls of the Capital, killing “people” (plural). This country survived liberals actually bombing the Capital. I think we’ll survive someone sitting in Nancy Pelosi’s office, uninvited. Shall I add the 160 people arrested to your growing list of things “that didn’t happen”, but did? Is this your, “look! squirrel!” moment? I’m aware of a couple Islamists arrested in Bowling Green during the Obama administration and convicted of terrorist acts against US troops in Iraq. Using your logic - since a terrorist act on US soil “didn’t happen”, there was no reason to be concerned about these guys. Just a couple of mostly peaceful tourists, and anyone who thinks otherwise (you Trump supporters, I’m looking at you!) is a racist! Am I right?

Just a couple of mostly peaceful tourists, and anyone who thinks otherwise (you Trump supporters, I’m looking at you!) is a racist! Am I right? Here you go. Do you remember the details? That's the protest you're comparing to Wednesday. Nobody died. Pipe bombs weren't left at the RNC and DNC headquarters. So no, some radical attack like Wednesday never fucking happened. Do you get it yet? "You don't think they could've killed someone?" They didn't, your lunatic fringe cronies did. Again, I should just start making up statistics about the Trump civil war so I can get to your level. "You don't think that Trump civil war would've cost lives?" And the article I posted earlier doesn't just reference one guy, it talks about the tone throughout Trumpworld being decidedly anti-government. How his supporters were convinced the whole thing was rigged and things were boiling to a head. Read the article. They've always been out of touch with reality, like you. So do you or don't you believe the Bowling Green Massacre was real? Your post in unclear. Get out of the echo chamber and learn how to read. Make an argument that isn't a false equivalency. Stop playing defense at all costs. "What happened Wednesday was no worse than protesters who didn't actually kill anyone." Oh and by the way, it's a shame one police officer isn't enough for you to be concerned. I'm sure you would've felt the same way if it was a BLM protest. Try harder, ace.

Do you get it yet? whooosh ... there go the goal posts! The relevant elements of the two incidents was the attempt to disrupt legal government proceedings, via mob rule. That is what the selective pearl clutchers are wringing their hands over. One was a terrible threat to the sanctity of the USA and an indictment of Trump supporters in general, the other is simply getting tossed down your mile deep memory hole. I, btw, condone neither. Have your most impressive google skills located the video of security guards opening the doors to the Capital so the crowd of murderous Trump supporters could rush walk in? Do you know who left the pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC? Answer: no. But that doesn’t stop you from implying that it was a deranged Trump supporter. I think you’ve made up enough stuff, already, Ace. Hand me the binoculars. The goal post just dipped below the horizon! You keep harping about a Trump “civil war”. Yet you can only link to an article that quotes my youtube guy using the term, civil war. There’s a mile chasm between anti-government and civil war, chum. Do try to keep the exaggerations to a minimum, mmmkay? Is this another one of your fantasies? You seem to be confused about something Kellyanne Conway said, when she conflated the arrest of the Bowling Green Islamic terrorists with the Islamic terrorist who massacred all those folks in Orlando. I’m pretty sure that got cleared up within days of her error, yet here you are, years later repeating it. I guess I should ask - Do you believe in the Pulse nightclub massacre? A parting fabrication for good measure, eh? For the record, whoever struck that officer should get nailed to the wall. I don’t care if it’s a Trump supporter, an ANTIFA infiltrator, or BLM rioter.

A parting fabrication for good measure, eh? For the record, whoever struck that officer should get nailed to the wall. I don’t care if it’s a Trump supporter, an ANTIFA infiltrator, or BLM rioter. You're the one moving goalposts by comparing a glorified sit-in to an event which resulted in five deaths, including a police officer. No, the relevant elements are the extreme measures that were taken by the mob. Only one of these little raids ended in deaths, on both sides, and pipe bombs left in the mob's wake. There is no comparison, you have no argument, your Republican party of law and order is a sham. Anybody in their right mind would condemn both examples of storming the capitol to subvert democracy, it's only you trying to save face for your party by suggesting one case was as extreme as the other. Funny how entire mobs of 'libs' are completely out of control, but it's always 'one guy' responsible for anything negative coming from the right. Do you think it's that one guy plotting all of this? Will they all be ANTIFA infiltrators? Do you get any ideas that don't come from FoxNews? "You don't know who planted the pipe bombs." Well, you don't know who started all those fires during the riots, but it doesn't stop you from jumping to conclusions. Couldn't have been right wing infiltrators, of course, because that excuse only works the other way around. Let me know the length of the chasm between killing policemen at the capitol, leaving pipe bombs at political parties' respective HQs, and civil war. What an exaggeration, those people aren't dangerous at all. This is how far gone you are. She literally made up the term 'alternative facts' while insisting that actually happened. So you'll have to excuse me for my earlier confusion when I thought you were making up an attack that never happened as opposed to simply saying a mob of screaming women was as dangerous and destructive as the mob that actually killed a police officer and left pipe bombs as threats. You've inexplicably defended Wednesday's murderous rampage by pointing to a protest which resulted in zero deaths, you've hilariously tried to blame ANTIFA for the chaos, and you've regurgitated Trump's baseless election fraud claims and ignored the fact that this was the very reason these lunatics rioted in the first place. I think you’ve made up enough stuff already, Ace. Your coup attempt failed, this million militia march will weaken the nation further (not that you care) while again accomplishing nothing, and the United States will continue to progress into a freer and more just place for all, as it always has. There's nothing you can do about it, but keep on raging and spreading lies on the internet, it's very helpful to society. (No really, I'd rather have you do this than kill a policeman or make a pipe bomb for your perceived 'enemies.') Keep fighting the good fight, ace/champ/sport/cupcake.

Don Lemon is a commentator on CNN, you guys say many of the same things. He's also a hypocrite. People kicked their way into the US Capitol and killed a police officer. They left pipe bombs at the RNC and DNC headquarters. If that's not terrorism, what is? Maybe the start of a 2nd Civil War, or maybe the beginning of the 2nd American Revolution, who knows? I tell ya though, the footage of Capitol security cops WAVING TRUMP SUPPORTERS INTO THE BUILDING was kind of eye-popping. Not sure what to make of that. Anyways, I know you're already worried about things, Ray. I would recommend you stay in your bunker on January 17......

Well then. I see you’re now in full melt-down mode. Making up irrational fantasies about me watching Fox News and murdering people ... adding to your mischaracterization of my argument and that overwrought account of what happened on Wednesday. When it starts to feel like I’m arguing with an eight year old, it’s time to walk away. Watch this video. Oh darn, I didn’t walk away fast enough. Ok, fine. I’ll bite. I’ve seen all that footage already, Ace. Nothing new there, except the overwrought commentary by MSNBC. The most violent image was those guys assaulting a door. ... and I fully agree that they should be made to pay for the damage. Wrong again, cupcake. My point was to counter the claim that the attempt to disrupt the proceedings inside the Capital via mob intimidation was some sort of unprecedented occurrence. It was not. Dems do it all the time. They also bust shit up, and police officers have died confronting them. There is no high ground. The Trump supporters who breached the Capital are just as wrong as any Democrat mob, and they should face the full extent of the law. I don’t want any supportive lawmaker releasing them or organizing bail, like the Democrats do. In this instance, most of the “murderous mob” inside the Capital was just roaming around taking selfies. What struck me was the lack of destruction. I’ve seen more damage after an unruly sporting event. The one exception is the police officer who died from an injury sustained while tussling with ... someone. When we know more about what specifically happened, I can comment on that. You, on the other hand, are ripe and ready to condemn everyone who was there as a willing accomplice to murder. Your entire counter argument is little more than hysterical bluster, with the occasional deflection and fabricated story. Now, be a good DC Fan and proclaim yourself the “winner” of this argument, so we can move on. Oh wait, You already did! It always cracks me up when someone does that.
