Seriously, this the Sports board and there’s good sports on. Knock off the political wining, grab a drink, and put a game on. So do you want them to drink or not?

I miss the days when I could celebrate my birthday in peace, without being reminded of a major riot that occurred at our nation's capital... Thanks a lot, shithead Trump. Does anyone else here, have to share celebrating 'holidays' with national 'disaster' remembrances? Four years without war. You will miss these four peaceful years when the US under Biden starts invading other countries again, and real terrorism hits you in response.

Fewer American soldiers died under Trump's watch than any US President since Jimmy Carter. No one really wants to mention that, though, kind of goes against the "crazed hate-filled psychotic" narrative. Why confuse people with actual facts?

I'm talking about no longer being able to celebrate a simple peaceful birthday for the rest of my life, without the media reminding me of the 2021 riots at the Capital, for Christ's sake... And your talking about how Biden MAY send us to war everyday for the next four years? FALSE EQUIVALENCY! By the way, sorry to hear that your are expecting Nuclear Bombs to go off at your house, for the next four birthday's you will be trying to celebrate.

Oh darn, I didn’t walk away fast enough. Ok, fine. I’ll bite. I’ve seen all that footage already, Ace. Nothing new there, except the overwrought commentary by MSNBC. The most violent image was those guys assaulting a door. ... and I fully agree that they should be made to pay for the damage. Wrong again, cupcake. My point was to counter the claim that the attempt to disrupt the proceedings inside the Capital via mob intimidation was some sort of unprecedented occurrence. It was not. Dems do it all the time. They also bust shit up, and police officers have died confronting them. There is no high ground. The Trump supporters who breached the Capital are just as wrong as any Democrat mob, and they should face the full extent of the law. I don’t want any supportive lawmaker releasing them or organizing bail, like the Democrats do. In this instance, most of the “murderous mob” inside the Capital was just roaming around taking selfies. What struck me was the lack of destruction. I’ve seen more damage after an unruly sporting event. The one exception is the police officer who died from an injury sustained while tussling with ... someone. When we know more about what specifically happened, I can comment on that. You, on the other hand, are ripe and ready to condemn everyone who was there as a willing accomplice to murder. Your entire counter argument is little more than hysterical bluster, with the occasional deflection and fabricated story. Now, be a good DC Fan and proclaim yourself the “winner” of this argument, so we can move on. Oh wait, You already did! It always cracks me up when someone does that. It's all you did with DC Fan. "I'm happy to provide the beatdown, cupcake" goofy shit like that. Until you gave up and started begging admin to ban him for insulting your favorite movies. It's incredible that you insist on comparing this to something where nobody was killed. Five people died, pipe bombs were left as calling cards, the radical right is completely unhinged. You can lie to yourself as long as you want, you aren't fooling anyone else, cupcake. It's always somebody else's fault. The cop died tussling with "someone." It couldn't have been the mob caught on video chanting "Hang Mike Pence," caught on video threatening police officers to get out of their way and kicking in doors, running around in tactical gear with zip ties. You're a joke, your argument is a joke. You can't lie your way out of embarrassment when the truth is on video for all to see. There is no argument to win here, only a stark reality you continue to deny. These people went berserk because their guy lost an election. People died because of it. These people are terrorists. These people are right wing fringe lunatics. None of that is up for debate with any rational human. Any Democrat mob? Like the example you listed earlier, a bunch of screaming women who killed nobody and left no pipe bombs behind them? You should stick to comparing it to BLM riots, where people are angry about being killed in the streets by police. It must be just as harrowing listening to Trump whine about losing an election, maybe I could understand why they'd want to kill someone after that. I've said it a million times, both sides have extremists who take things too far. The problem is the right always insists they never sink to that level; while doing far worse with no logical motivation beyond not getting their way. The people who were 'supporting the police' in the election were killing them instead on Wednesday. The people so offended by kneeling during the national anthem were chanting about executing the Vice President of the United States. They're liars and frauds, just like you, just like your maniacal leader. All the lies and riots and militia marches aren't going to change the election, champ.

It wasn’t me. Obviously there is the occasional instance when that has happened. This is one of them. Of course, that isn’t good enough for you. You’ve been trying to characterize the entire “right” with what occurred on Wednesday (“You’re all frauds!”), while turning a blind eye to all the left-wing crap that has previously transpired. Not to mention your dishonest attempts to make it look even worse by lumping in deaths and pipe bombs that you know nothing about. I’ve got news for you, chum. The 70 million “people who support the police” and voted for Trump do not condone this incident. The desire that the participants be held accountable is widespread. I have yet to find a right-wing source that’s has not condemned it, in no uncertain terms. That is the difference between the Right and the Left. We shun our extremists. They are an embarrassment. The Left embraces them.

This isn't even a political thread, you barged in making a false equivalency because you're embarrassed extremists from your political party committed terrorist acts. You immediately went on the defensive for something that is indefensible. "The left also raided the capitol once. Nobody died, no pipe bombs were left, but clearly it was just as bad." You went from deflection to denial, "We don't know who killed that guy, maybe it was Antifa!" It's equal parts predictably hilarious and pathetic. You're just pissed that somebody isn't letting you sell your bullshit story. You complain about the 'left' constantly. Is it obnoxious when somebody makes generalizations? There is nothing dishonest about my argument. People died, including a police officer. Pipe bombs were left as threats. You don't know everything about every fire that was started during BLM protests, what's the difference? Enough with the ridiculous denials already. "The most violent thing I saw were people kicking in a door." I guess I'm more familiar with violence than you are. Because those people were fired on by an armed guard, pretty violent. Officers getting their masks ripped off or crushed by the mob while screaming for help, pretty violent. And I know you're allergic to context, but let's apply some here anyway. Those people kicking in the door, after asking the officers to move because, "We don't want to hurt you," I wonder what they would've done if they didn't move? I wonder if this was before or after the other officer had been killed? People were chanting for the execution of the Vice President and still you insist there's nothing to see here, it's truly incredible. Then the 'right' needs a better representative on this board, because all you're doing is defending them. Stop pretending this wasn't a terrorist act and stop comparing it to women yelling about Brett Kavanaugh. These two things are not comparable. You started this conversation with that argument, and it was as ridiculous then as it is now. You both do, this conversation proves it. I'm a centrist and I was against the rioting last year and against viewing police as a whole as villains. These conversations were done to death last year, and the right wing kooks always had the same rhetoric of law and order, supporting the police and the republic, and insisting the 'radical left' was the real threat. Wednesday's events PROVED extremism has taken over the right. You can't argue that with me when the sitting president personally convinced those people to riot! Is the President not the face of the party? Enough with the hypocrisy and the bullshit.

What is that, like 1000+ words, with very little of any value actually said? I commented on the Capital incident in a thread where it was commented on twice prior to me “barging in”. If we are going to admonish anyone for turning this thread into a political shit-show, by post count, word count, and flying off on political tangents, the biggest offender is you. All I did was make a comment on a previous attempt to storm the Capital - and then bat back against your apoplectic political assertions. You’re the one who got all indignant, like an incensed Karen encountering someone without a mask ... alone ... on a hiking trail. Let’s see if you can resist the temptation to mischaracterization my argument for the nth time, inject a ton of politics (again) and then complain about all the politics (again). That shtick is getting real old.

Go back and read your own posts if you have to. This thread is political because of you. Everyone was referencing old conversations and you made some random post comparing a womens' rally to a riot where people were killed. You can spin it any way you want, we all go back and read the thread, where you entered and derailed it. Let it go. Every time you try to spin it into something else, I can easily disprove your nonsense. As this thread has progressed, I have continued talking to other people about the thread's original topic, while you continue to reply solely to me, about this political discussion that you started. Let it go or keep talking in circles, it's entirely up to you. You made this conversation political.

The difference is I'm still chatting on topic with people in this thread, you're just here to argue. You, on page 2: See? Frank made a joke about The Deflator and it set you off to the point you felt it necessary to react with a political argument. Take your meds.
