Waldron’s two MCU projects have been a gold mine of fun, interesting, unique ideas that aren’t really structured into a great story all that well. I think part of that has to do with the structure of the MCU itself, but I can’t see Star Wars being much more of a liberating franchise for him.
I’d like to see him write his own stuff outside of franchises. I think it could be pretty cool.
