misstique Yes, but... i used to think the original was better but it does not hold up for me anymore as i found it to be pretty average/forgettable. but i realize i am in the minority on that.p.s. my most recent viewing of Predator is March 2015, which is when it fell off, and for Predator 2 was Aug 2015. A VERY VERY small minority. I can understand if you don't like Predator that much. For me it's one of the best action/sci-fi/horror/thrillers ever! But I have never heard anyone saying that they prefer Predator 2 over Predator 1. P2 isn't bad, I enjoyed it as well, except for the last quarter. That kinda ruined it for me. The forced comedic tone, the underground spaceship, the Predator elders, all just undid all the good work that the first three-quarter of the movie had done. |

1.The Terminator - 8.5-9/10 (easily the single best movie of the bunch as the rest are nothing special outside of T1) 2.Alien - 6/10 3.Predator 2 You prefer Predator 2 over the original? That is indeed a bit odd. |

Same with "Jaws 2". But I wouldn't rate either as being better than the originals. |

I love all the movies on this list (and echo that Predator 2 is very underrated). "Alien" is a masterpiece on multiple levels. So is "The Terminator." "Alien 3" got a spot on my list because I found it adventurous and had a lot of character. I know a lot of people think the supporting characters are just a bunch of bald British guys, but I personally found the side characters to be very intriguing...particularly on the 'Assembly Cut.'

Terminator is a great B Movie that is both Horror and Sci-Fi, before it turned into a action franchise

misstiqueI am not surprised given it's a decent amount different from the first movie (the setting and lead actors etc) and since everyone seems to consider the first movie one of the best action movies of the 1980's that just about guaranteed people were going to dis P2.

I went with Aliens, T2, and Predator 2. It's quite amazing to have three franchises in which I love the second film of like this.
