Where are the best landing spots for these QBs who could be on the move via cut or trade.
Deshaun Watson Carson Wentz Matthew Stafford Jimmy Garapolo Matt Ryan Sam Darnold
If I have missed any let me know. Im not counting Free Agents in here as the trade talk imo will be more interesting than the FA class.

Here are mine.
Watson - Colts/Washington - They apparently have the salary cap and are possibly a Watson away from SB favorites. Problem is I doubt Houston would trade him within the division. Washington has a decent young team that could put them on top of the division for a few years.
Ryan - 49ers - Reunite with Shanahan. Not sure they can afford him though with upcoming free agents.
Stafford - Colts - Stafford to the Colts makes a ton of sense if the Watson move wouldn't happen. Stafford is damn good but nobody ever notices because of the Lions always sucking. Give him a run game and a defense he would be in heaven.
Wentz - Eagles - They should imo fire Pedersen and stick with either Wentz or Hurts because I don't see them moving him anywhere.
Darnold - Texans - This is hard because if his option isn't picked up or he is traded he is hardly a quality guy at this point. Texans have no other option to get a QB. Maybe they can get something out of Darnold.
Garapolo- Patriots - This too obvious?

Backing up Justin Hebert might not be a bad job......

I really don’t understand why the Niners would want to get rid of Jimmy G, he led them to the Super Bowl last season, this year they were just too decimated by injuries to get in the playoffs this season, they would be stupid to get rid of him IMO, they still have a lot of talent and it’s hard to find strong QB’s and I think Jimmy G is one.
The Colts would be the perfect landing spot for a QB - they are loaded with talent on both sides of the ball.

I had them in mind but thought the other 2 would be better fits simply because the Pats offense kinda sucks so not sure they would be considered a "best fit". If Bill could draft a good WR than maybe. They apparently will have the cap space so maybe trade for Watson and sign a Robinson or Godwin?

I feel they have the roster that is a QB away and I dont think Jimmy is that guy that's good enough to win a game for them if need be in the playoffs. He is good enough to get there if all things fall right (he won an NFC Championship game throwing like 10 times) but fell short in the SB when he needed to do more than minimum. If they could improve I sure as hell would.

Is Houston really going to dump Watson? They could get a king's ransom for him but proven top flight QB's are tough to come by.

I don’t think Jimmy G is the reason they lost Super Bowl 54, I think Shanahan had more to do with it than Garoppolo, Shanahan’s play calling late in the game sucked, they abandoned the run game for some reason, sure Jimmy G didn’t play very well late in the game but I feel Shanahan choked more than Garoppolo, and Jimmy G isn’t responsible for the Niners defense getting beat by Mahomes and the Chiefs offense late in the game. And I don’t really see how they could improve from Jimmy G, unless they got Watson. If the Texans were willing to trade Watson to them I would do it, but other than him how could they improve at QB? An aging QB like Ryan or Stafford wouldn’t be an improvement over Jimmy G IMO.

I doubt it but the news is out there that he might wanna be moved so I included him. No way could they get enough for equal value imo. He is worth like 3 first rounders at least.

If you have a franchise QB in this league windows last a long time. 49ers don't so they have a smaller window imo. They have a win now roster that imo is a QB away from taking them there. Matt Ryan is a flat out better QB than Jimmy. As a Falcons fan are you disagreeing with that? If the 9ers don't trade for a guy maybe they look to draft one. Not sure what pick they have atm but imo Jimmy G getting paid the way he does isn't gonna get them the Lombardi.

I just don’t get why the Niners want to get rid of a QB who led them to the Super Bowl just last season.

Well, they'll have about $70 million in cap space. Question is how much would it take, 2 firsts & 2 thirds maybe? Jimmy G would seem the more obvious, for all the obvious reasons. Josh might actually get a big say in this, if he's going to inherit the team within 3-5 yrs.

If Roethlisberger flames out in the playoffs, I'd love to take on Stafford. Bobby Layne 2.0!

What has he done to be paid the way he has/is to be kept? Jimmy G won't win them the SB next year. Matt Ryan reuniting with his MVP coach could. You do not pay a mediocre QB like Jimmy G flat out. So you think paying him based on his production will lead to a SF Lombardi?

When healthy and a good team around him he wouldn’t hold them back. I think swapping him out for Ryan would be foolish for the same reasons Xeliou said.

Is he a starting QB? Sure. But its not like any team is going to win because of him. Could he win a Super Bowl to the extent that a Trent Dilfer? Sure. I just don't think he is the short term or long term answer if they want a SB atm. I sure as hell wouldn't extend him. So that leaves him in limbo. I think they could trade/cut him this offseason without much/any cost if I remember correctly.
