Just a few weeks left of the football season then it is going to be a poor summer for sports.
No World Cup
No Olympics
No Euros.
There is the U21 Euro Championships in Poland on June 16th. England are ranked 2nd in the coefficients behind the Spanish doping galacticos.
And there is Wimbledon.
Apart from that?

The traffic will be low for sure as football drives big part of the traffic. If salter was there then cricket threads would have been more active. Overall, sports board will be far less active in June and July.

I don't mind Rugby Union if it is the World Cup, but the 6 nations, I'm not really arsed about.

Stan, per usual you ignore us Americans unless you want to piss on us.
While summer is a slow time in sports for me I will still have plenty to keep me busy and to talk about.
US Open tennis and golf Wimbledon Track & Field The PGA Championship The Open Championship Baseball NFL training camp and pre-season
That's just to name a few
Don't worry, the Americans here will keep the board going until the next footie season.

I noticed the first six seasons of GoT are currently available on Now TV. I have Now TV but I can't really muster much enthusiasm for sitting through 48 hours of sub-Tolkien shite!

To be honest AJ, I'm not at all excited about GoT's, not the same way I am about Homeland or TWD, I just love those 2 shows from first to last ep each season. But.. by the time the 6th or 7th ep of GoT's comes around every season I'm buzzing. They never disappoint. But overall, I won't miss it when its gone.

I think it expires fairly soon so it would have to be a binge job!
Just noticed it's actually 60 hours!

This is why you book your holidays in July (though even shacks in the wood have wi fi now).
Transfer gossip should tide us over.

I thought the same thing. I absolutely loathed Lord of the Rings and my wife loved it. When she got into Game of Thrones, I refused to follow. But its not Tolkein. No elves dwarves or damned talking trees. But lots of nudity.

Stan, per usual you ignore us Americans unless you want to piss on us. Yeah but America is kind of like a sporting pariah, so in a sense, you are kind of the ISIS of sports.

I absolutely loathed Lord of the Rings Same, I watched about 90 minutes of it and turned it off. Put me off fantasy stuff for life.
