I absolutely loathed Lord of the Rings Same, I watched about 90 minutes of it and turned it off. Put me off fantasy stuff for life. Loved the books, hated the movies. I'm not a big fan of fantasy or CGI cartoonery. And my Grandson's pet goldfish is a better actor than Viggo Mortensen. But I do like Game of Thrones.

Let's make a pact for the summer: to post once a day on what makes baseball a terrible sport.

So basically you mean because there isn't any football that there isn't anything else to watch Stanley? Because there's an abolsute ton of non football sports every single summer, or my winter, even in a non world or European cup year.

I noticed the first six seasons of GoT are currently available on Now TV. I have Now TV but I can't really muster much enthusiasm for sitting through 48 hours of sub-Tolkien shite! I thought the same thing. I absolutely loathed Lord of the Rings and my wife loved it. When she got into Game of Thrones, I refused to follow. But its not Tolkein. No elves dwarves or damned talking trees. But lots of nudity. and dragons. Really?? Just for once you couldn't write a fantasy book without g.d. dragons?

For what it's worth there is the International Champions Cup taking place from July 18th. Matches will be played in the USA, China and Singapore. It's a friendly competition/league. It's for insomniacs and hardcore footy fans, I'd say. Roma, PSG, Man Utd, Man City, Juventus, Barcelona, Spurs and Real Madrid will play in the USA, while Arsenal, AC Milan, Inter, Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Chelsea play in China and Singapore. Fixtures so far (BST times) USA : 20.07.2017 01:00 AS Roma - Paris St. Germain 20:59 Manchester United - Manchester City 22.07.2017 23:00 FC Barcelona - Juventus FC 23.07.2017 01:00 Tottenham - Paris St. Germain 22:00 Real Madrid - Manchester United 26.07.2017 01:00 Tottenham - AS Roma 27.07.2017 00:30 FC Barcelona - Manchester United 01:30 Paris St. Germain - Juventus FC 04:00 Real Madrid - Manchester City 30.07.2017 00:00 Tottenham - Manchester City 00:30 Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 21:00 AS Roma - Juventus FC

Traffic seems to be getting better. I'm interested to see what the board will look like in the heat of the NFL season, or the World Cup.

I absolutely loathed Lord of the Rings Same, I watched about 90 minutes of it and turned it off. Put me off fantasy stuff for life. Its very good. IMO - fantasy - yet so relevant to humanity . It is very long though. You have to be in the right mood.(all 3 are 1 film) GOT is totally different , but still great even with many filler episodes the war scene last series was the best and most intense war scene i have seen in any TV show or film - The production took you inside of it.. just for that reason I recommend every watch that scene even if you do not like the show.

United are playing City, Real Madrid and Barcelona over 7 days. Fuck me, Mourinho will still be complaining about that in 2022.
