The fantasy of every young sci-fi boy during that time.

That bikini looks rather uncomfortable to be swimming in.

I always liked her look in the Blues Brothers. Even if it was much less "revealing". I dig the hair especially with those big brown eyes.

Fisher would have been a lot of fun to be around, perhaps a bit too much. Tragic how it all caught up with her in the manner that it did and she went too soon.
Has anyone seen Postcards From The Edge - 90'? A semi-autobiographical take on her relationship with her mother Reynolds. Streep and MacLaine.

Ok, so maybe we are not in 1983 anymore. But for me, I think my favorite movie of Fisher is seeing her up against Tom Hanks as Carol Peterson in Joe Dantes cult-classic The 'Burbs (1989). Love that dress she wear, when leading the "pack" towards the Klopeks house, in order to set things right.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. She was hotter than hell in 'Under The Rainbow' (1981), that was unbelievable. Hot like, Debbie Reynolds hot.
'Over The Rainbow'
Debbie Reynolds
She was loved here in the U K and spent time here. I think we were lucky like that.
Carrie Fisher
Star Wars Beach Balls
With close friend Penny Marshall
Her writings and conversations on feminist issues earned her great respect from her peers, they were so funny and frank and still resonate today.
Here with Sissy Spacek ...
And with Amy Irving & Teri Garr

Good call. I also consider this to be Wendy Schaal's hottest performance in the movies. But don't take my word for it ...

But the book was even better with Fisher's distinct voice. She was obviously very intelligent. And I love that first picture of her splashing in the water. What's kind of weird is that while I like Carrie fine, I really don't like either one of her parents.

I love watching the film, but at your recommendation, I have been constantly looking out for the paperback cheap at an op shop or used book store.
I only know of Eddie Fisher for his records which my dad used to play, not a bad crooner, and I have seen Reynolds in a handful of films, but nothing much for me to form any genuine opinion over. I did like the dynamic of Streep and MacLaine in Postcards and while Suzanna was spoiled and privileged, her mother Doris was a big part of her problems. I also liked that Hackman's director character balled out Suzanna over her behavior, but he had the best of intentions and came from a heartfelt space.
