Did he live an interesting life? Anything scandalous involved? Well, it has been certainly a remarkable life – winning the World Cup at age 17, becoming the best soccer player in the world and a world-wide celebrity. Outside of soccer, not much excitement I think – a couple of marriages and divorces, no alcohol or drug problems. The only blemish in his personal life that I am aware of is that he never acknowledged a daughter he had out of wedlock. He got a woman pregnant when he was young and (I think) not yet married. I am not sure he even found out about it at the time, but decades later the daughter approached him and tried to get him to acknowledge her, which he refused to do. She filed a paternity lawsuit against him and he fought it tooth and nail. Eventually he was forced to submit to a paternity test which showed that she really was his daughter. He still didn’t accept her, even when she died of cancer some years later.

That sounds quite scandalous - especially if he was married
Not accepting your own daughter - even as she's battling cancer
What a scumbag of a human being
I might watch this now if it delves into this part of his life

is he your favorite footballer?. In my opinion he's the best of all time, but I wouldn't say he's my favourite. Come to think of it, I don't really have a favourite footballer.

Seriously how many documemtaries are they going to make on Pele?
One of the most over-exposed athletes of all time. Same with Muhammad Ali, Maradonna, Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan.
Also enough Bruce Lee documentaries. He wasn't even a professional martial artist. I would rather see one about Chuck Norris, who was a professional fighter.

I can watch a zillion docs on him
I thought Pele was about as exciting as a Ham & Cheese sandwich until I heard about what a philanderer he was above
Now I may watch

Pele was not really a philanderer .. not by Brazilian standards anyway.

If you want a Brazilian footballer with an eventful life, check out this guy:
Just read the "Early Life" and the "Final Years and Death" sections if his football career is not of interest.
