A few weeks ago while in Walmart I wa looking at frozen burgers.I usually get Bubba burgers but the price seemed kinda high from what I remembered. In the case was a brand I had never seen before,'El Gordito',a red and yellow package of 6 1/4 lb patties for $6 and change, with the note 'pork added',so I gave 'em a try.
Far and away the best frozen burger I ever had. Some spices added, adobo, sezon etc.Got anonther pack yesterday and gonna fry up the one left from last time as soon as I post this.I put some blue cheese dressing and chopped hot pepper on mine. Just thought I'd mention it.

Oh well..... I guess I subscribe to the 'everything kills you' theory. I've lived far far longer than I expected, considering the relatively early passings of my parents, sister and various other relations ,so I just eat whatever I want.

I like the Schwan's frozen cheeseburgers also their individual frozen grilled Angus hamburger patties. I also keep White Castle on hand but the frozen are not as good as the fresh. I wonder why it never became a national chain. They have Krystal burgers here in Alabama but I didn't like them.

Non vegan thread...... I always look for pork content in frozen or fresh beef hamburger patties. That small amount kicks the beef up, imo. Fat content?

That's how I feel about McDonalds. The last time I ate a so-called "burger" from there, it didn't taste anything like beef. All I tasted was filler. Nothing at all tasted like actual beef. It reminded me sawdust, which I've heard it is legal for them to put in as a filler. If there it is made with "real beef" then it's got about 5% real beef in there. Yuck.
