Are these still fairly common on TV? I remember they were relatively plentiful on TV in the 1970s-1980s--from the romantic ones with pretty music, to the weird Calvin Klein ones ("Obsession...oh, the smell of it!" Eeeww), to the woman who "can bring home the bacon and fry it up in the pan" to Catherine Deneuve resting her head on an enormous bottle of Chanel No. 5, etc. Men's colognes included the Hai Karate ads with men fighting off women. The most recent ones I remember are the "Old Spice Guy" ads from several years ago. I don't recall seeing any similar ads in recent years. Are they still around, or have they all been replaced by ads for insurance and prescription medications?
