Oh dear god this was terrible. Wasn’t this labeled as a loose remake of “rebel without a cause” as well? More like "Rebel Without a Clue" for this film.

Love this film. I just read it's getting a bluray release in May from Kino Lorber. Definitely wouldn't be on the top of anyone's list for best acting but it's so ridiculous it's awesome.

I used to be a huge Nostalgia Critic fan when he first started. From '09 to '12 he was hilarious. Sadly now the reviews got very unfunny and are practically unwatchable now.

Hard to believe the cinematographer for this film is the same guy who would shoot Schindler's List just two years later. Hey, we all have to start somewhere. Besides, he didn't half-ass it for a paycheck. This "hip" star vehicle unpredictably has some very well-composed shots. Not just in the musical scenes. Even something as mundane as a fishbowl looks eye-pleasing.

Hard to believe the cinematographer for this film is the same guy who would shoot Schindler's List just two years later. Plenty of DPs start out in low-budget, Z-grade stuff. Wally Pfister was DP on the likes of Animal Instincts before making it big with Nolan.

At least this one is from that period. He's made a lot of great videos, but I don't think this is one of them. It's pretty much just 1 joke ("He's so white!") repeated over and over.
