I was reading about a movie called Bone Tomahawk that sounds interesting (it sounds like the Hills Have Eyes set in the Wild West). Any other recs?

From Dusk Till Dawn 3 is a horror western and it's alright.

Figured somebody would've mentioned Ravenous by now. That's three recs, you should definitely check it out.

Bone Tomahawk would be my recommendation, it’s awesome.
Then check out Zahler’s other two gems, Brawl in Cell Block 99 and Dragged Across Concrete, if you haven’t already.

Unfortunately the two genres don’t make a habit of crossing one another often enough.
Bone Tomahawk is a solid entry. Very Eli Roth-esque.
John Carpenters Vampires has the feel of a neo western, with vampires...so that may fit the bill.
High Plains Drifter is an eerie, probably supernatural western...but I wouldn’t really call it horror.

I agree with the mentions of Ravenous. I like the movie itself a lot, plus it has one of my absolute favorite film scores.
And yeah, Bone Tomahawk is a good one too.

Just remember you can never unsee Bone Tomahawk. I wasn't bothered by it. There is one moment of extremely disturbing graphic violence, but it didn't stay with me after the movie ended.

Both are among my 10 favorite movies from the years they were released. Bone Tomahawk is good, but I was sort of underwhelmed.

Brawl in Cell Block 99 is my favorite (3rd favorite of 2017) Dragged Across Concrete is second (second favorite of 2018) Bone Tomahawk is third (probably a top 10 of 2015)
