I bought $2,500 worth of cabinets just because they called and asked. But also because I was planning to get some installed anyway and they'd done work for me previously and were having a sale.

I’m not doing much impulse spending at the moment as we’re just coming out of Christmas and there are a lot of birthdays coming up but I did notice that I had some unspent credit on Amazon so bought a comic (or graphic novel as we like to say) just because I liked the pictures. I love graphic novels. The Walking Dead is a great one, better than the show. I haven’t read The Walking Dead (I like self contained stories that one seems to never stop) and have only watched the first season of the TV adaptation. I liked the first season but haven’t watched the rest mainly due to the comments about how it went downhill.

May I ask what you do for a living? I know you just bought a Tesla, and now you're buying cabinets like they were Girl Scout Cookies, lol. That's damn impressive. You can tell me nonya if I've over-stepped here, but I don't know anyone with a Tesla, so I'm just curious.

novastar6You've inspired me to buy the first season on Animaniacs. I've been watching the HULU reboot, and it's pretty well done, but I find the current pop culture references depressing 😕 The original has all the 90's nostalgia I love. A very smart cartoon indeed.

That's not a lot of money to spend on kitchen cabinets. We spent $25,000 on ours, and they're mid-line. You can also finance them. My point is, I could be driving a Maybach if I wanted to lease it. It's affordable. Just because someone has a luxury car doesn't mean they're loaded.

Maple, and a lot of them both base and wall, swing out shelves in upper and lower cabs,, a floor to ceiling pantry with roll out shelves, and all the base cabs have roll out shelves. Big pot drawers, too.

I didn't even know there was a reboot until a couple weeks ago. Haven't seen it, read some about it, and yeah, I sure wouldn't watch it. Doing an episode about gun control? WTF is wrong with people now?
I really haven't seen any reboot that was as good as the source material, I tend to avoid them like the plague and stick with the originals.

The voices and animation are the same, and there's still the same pop-culture/political references, but, meh. I don't really want to be reminded of the current environment. I also miss seeing Bill Clinton play the sax in the opener 😂

Plus I just saved a bunch of money refinancing the mortgage. Got rid of the PMI, lowered the interest rate a ton, and sold my old car for more than I was expecting. Also the state gives lots of incentives for electric vehicles, the maintenance costs for them is almost nothing compared to gas engines, and charging is cheaper than fuel. Sticker shock is the only issue.

I paid mostly cash for the car so the monthly payment isn't even a lot or very long term, but you're right that the cabinets aren't that expensive. They're actually for the garage and only a small part of it. Not the highest quality materials or anything either. Good enough to get the job done and look pretty which is all that matters in the end. Their quote actually came in cheaper than the lower range of what I was hoping for.
