Films like, The woman in red. Ghostbusters. Nightmare on elm street/ dream warriors. jungle fever. To live and die in L.a. And one that few have seen, Girl 6.
In other words films that have a theme song of the same name that appears in it. That has lyrics.
Therefore, would it be correct that the last live action film that did this was girl 6 from 1996? Of course not counting the last pierce brosnon james bond film.

I might be mistaken, but I think one song is "We Don't Need Another Hero" from Tina Turner for Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome.

Oh you mean a movie with its own theme song? I think that Warren Beatty movie Rules Don't Apply had one. Lily Collins even sang it in one scene which looking back is weird because it's certainly not a musical. That was in 2016.

Used to be fairly common. Who would think a good song could come from a title like The Corrupt Ones? A Robert Stack/Elke Sommer spy movie. Great song. Listening to the soundtrack album.

I think another one is "Who's That Girl?" from Madonna from the movie Who's That Girl?.
Also, "St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)" by John Parr from the movie St. Elmo's Fire.

Well Skyfall (2011) has a theme song of the same name sung by Adele. Such a cinematic and epic song.

You'd also have to discount a couple of the Craig Bond films, but I imagine you're doing that extremely cool and endearing thing you do where you create an entire thread just to snub certain movies. Looking at the Oscar nominees for Best Song, the last non-Bond one that was a title song was Vanilla Sky. I think at some point it was decided title songs were cheesy and old fashioned. It can be kind of goofy hearing the movie's name inorganically crowbarred into a song, but otherwise I like them.

Don't many of the modern original movie songs play just during the end credits anyway?
