I had never seen it for sale here (Canada) before. I just had to buy it. On a trip to Australia many years ago I really wanted to try it but could never find it on the menu of any restaurant I went to. Finally I had it at a Chinese restaurant, but it was on a dish with a strong sauce, so I couldn’t really taste the meat itself.
It is frozen and packaged in what seems to be thin slices, so I guess I will just cook it like I would a scallopini.

I think the aborigines do, maybe farmers as well. It does not appeal to me. I heard in Africa, lion is popular, I respect cultures, but no thank you.

My understanding is that kangaroos are so widespread in Australia that they even need to be culled sometimes, so I don't have qualms about eating their meat. I will never eat lion meat.

Does it come with a pouch of seasoning? Could make marsupial soup. I'll be here all week.

In my one and only visit to New Orleans about a decade ago, I had some alligator. That's about the most exotic food I've ever had. Can't say it was all that great or special. I might be willing to try some kangaroo. Let us know how it works out.

I find it better if it’s marinated, or as sausages or burgers. But I’ve never had it in thin slices, only steaks.

No I am a native Chicago, but if fate is kind , would love to visit the country someday. The only game meat I have consumed is rabbit. I don't think I could eat venison, bison, or bear. I read once that in Ecuador ,they eat parrots. Every country is different. I also saw on a travel show, a Mexican resident of Britain made tacos with crickets. Ok now!

There is an annual tag quota cull to keep the eastern grey kangaroo and red kangaroo populations around 5 - 10 million. PETA had a successful campaign in Europe that killed (sic) the trade there so kangaroo mainly goes to pet food, but supermarkets and some butchers stock it. I prefer it in stews rather than steaks.

No, I won’t get mad!
I haven’t tried it yet. The package says “Robust flavour and intense aroma”.

Thanks enigma. I'm OK here on the est coast. High rainfall, rainforest all around that is resistant to wildfires except early last year when there was a drought. I lived over there a while ago. Summer there is hot, dry, windy, just right for fires until April when the rains come. I was apple picking and the season ended abruptly when there was a windstorm and the place went up in flames. We were driving home from the orchard, saw a fire in a farmers paddock and spent the afternoon filling backpack fire extinguishers in the dam while others ran around the paddock putting out the cowpats that were sending the fire towards a house.

Glad you are okay! Dried cow pies burn well. That's weird! Enjoy your summer! We are a little warmer than last month, thank God!

When camping I have used them on the campfire as a mosquito deterrent. They certainly deter getting too close to the fire.

Dried buffalo pies were often used by settlers for their cooking fires because wood wasn't always easily available.
