About three days ago, I woke up with a runny nose. Next couple of days, the same thing. Kept checking temp, and it was always normal. Today, a bit of a runny nose but not as bad. I hadn't checked my temp at all today because my runny nose seemed to be getting better, although for the past couple of days I've had that slightly feeling in my chest like I MIGHT develope a cough, though I haven't actually been coughing (don't know if that makes sense). Decided to go ahead and check my temp with a digital ear thermometer: my right ear keeps registering high 98 to low 99, and me left ear mid 99 to 100. I got my flu shot a couple months ago, so I'm thinking it's just a cold, though when I look up info it says a fever is uncommon in adults with the cold. I'm kicking myself because I've been around my parents, and since my temp was normal and I didn't actually have a cough, I was being a little careless and not wearing a mask around them. I feel stupid. Even if it turns out to be nothing, I still should have been more careful around my parents.
I'm kind of nervous, but I don't know what to do. To get a test at the pharmacy, I'll have to make an appointment days ahead. The only thing I can think of for a quicker test would be to go the the E.R., but I'm not sure they'd appreciate someone coming in with a runny nose that's mostly better, a tickle in the chest that hasn't actually developed into a cough, and a slightly high temp.
Edit: Apparently, it's not really a "fever" unless it's at least 100.4, while my left ear seems to be topping at a 100.0. Maybe a good sign, I guess.

COVID is only deadly to those who already have poor health or are about to die so you’re good. I had COVID back in April, it wasn’t a big deal.

A business across the street from me is temporarily closed because employees have COVID. Makes me think I might be next.

I did not call YOU stupid ... I said the post was stupid ! Your statement that "COVID is only deadly to those who already have poor health or are about to die" Is totally false and not a matter of opinion OR scientific fact.

With no proof provided, I’m gonna stick with my own experience as well as those around me. Once again, your response reeks of political bias, something I don’t tend to bother with.

COVID-19 has been spreading rapidly over the past several months, and the U.S. death toll has now reached 400,000.
In a new study, researchers found that COVID-19 is dangerous not only for the elderly but for middle-aged adults.
The research was conducted by a team at Dartmouth and elsewhere.
In the study, the team did a systematic review of all available studies of COVID-19 prevalence in countries with advanced economies.

I have a second problem (probably not related), weird bruising on my leg around a lump under the skin. I don't remember injuries my leg. Both parents have a history of blood clots, so now I'm worried about that. Think I might just go to hospital and ask to be checked out for both things.

Don't take ibuprofen, in addition to storing up in your kidneys, I heard it makes your blood thicker. When everything was sold out at the stores last spring, one thing that definitely went was the Tylenol in most forms including generic, that is the painkiller everyone's advised to take if they DO have Covid...when my sister had it last year and everybody thought it was just the flu, the doctors had her take x amount of Tylenol AND y amount of ibuprofen all in the same day every day, both of them more than a full day's dose, and just drink a lot of Gatorade.
I had some bruising on my leg a while back, also had some kind of pulled muscle in it and I thought my legs were swelling up, they weren't, but when you start freaking out, even when you know better, you can convince yourself all kinds of things are happening.

You probably bumped yourself and gave yourself a little hematoma. Blood clots don't generally develop that close under the skin.

Doc says maybe a hematoma or cyst, to follow up with primary doctor. Didn't get a Covid test, but they did take a chest x-ray and everything looked good.

It's so nerve wracking when every cold symptom could also be COVID! I get bruises and bumps in weird places (my thigh, under my arm, side-boob) and have NO IDEA where they come from. It doesn't happen enough to make me concerned it's an internal problem, but often enough to make me wonder who roughs me up in my sleep!
