Dayum. Grant Ward really became the Big Bad, huh? WTH is he? I feel so bad for May and her ex. She's the character I like the best out of the whole show, and it's just so heartbreaking.... Grant, though? Man...I want to just kick him in the nuts even though I know that wouldn't do anything . I'm not happy with that twist. |

Well this is something. Agent May, regardless of how often she uses a stunt double or not, she's got to be quite fit to pull off what we can see, and her thing is martial arts. She's now fighting with, of all people, Mark Dacascos, who in his own right, is an actual martial arts competitor in real life, not just an actor. I recognize him from The Crow (obviously not the blessed original). Imagine having to be in a choreographed fight opposite him?  Oh yeah I saw him in Hawaii 5-0. I didn't realize it was the same guy

I'm kind of losing interest.
They're using tropes too much, where people can swap faces, and just just become other people... I'm not sure.
I'm giving this a break and moving onto something else. I might come back to it.
To anyone who's seen all the series, does it get any better?

From what I've read, Ming-na Wen doesn't use doubles during fight scenes. In fact, there will be episodes in the future where May has injuries all of the sudden. They were written into the show because Ming-na hurt herself during filming. To anyone who's seen all the series, does it get any better? That's a hard question to answer. This is a show that re-invents itself a lot. I don't just mean in terms of story direction, but sometimes even genre. It all depends on whether you appreciate that or if you find it inconsistent.

I just finished watching another show that the final series just got released, so I took my break.
Now I'm back to S.H.I.E.L.D.
Dammit, if only Grant weren't so sexy. That high-collared coat really looks good on him too, and those cheekbones go on for days. Ugh, makes it hard to hate him. His new look (and he's not Grant, I realize, just sayin') really suits him.
I'm still not keen on what seems to me like cheesy ways to make stories up, but I'm giving this a shot.

Okay. Someone help me. I'm extremely confused now. WTH is going on with Aida in season 4, episode 9 "Broken Promises" (it started in episode 8 actually). She went against all her programming protocols, and after "bleeding out and feeling pain" she remade herself and locked May in a cubicle hooked up to an IV... and then I see Aida taking out the doc, mentioning she overrode everything, and I'm seeing May in with the group? How can May be in there? And now they're all out there looking for a runaway Aida? She seemed like actually a really good idea, actually, and without her, and her being AI, Coulson and Fitz would be trapped. That nasty female senator Nadir who wants to wipe every in-human out! She's nasty. This is getting twisted. Especially confused about cocoon man being her brother? |
