SOLVED Well done to Bella and OldAussie 
List A are actresses billed above Deborah Kerr on Costarring assignments...... List B ladies were billed below her (i'm going by film opening credits not poster)
Here she is....I'd have settled for no billing at all just to share the same celluloid.... 
List A Faye Dunaway Ava Gardner Greer Garson Wendy Hiller Jean Simmons List B Wendy Hiller Glynis Johns Angela Lansbury Jean Simmons Ann Todd What is the common link that those on list A share. And what is the opposite link that those on list B share?

I'm lost. Dazed and confused. One of the names on list A could be added to list B...but I think overall only two additional names could be added to list A...list A is a far more select list...probably another 100 plus names could be added to list B😎 |

I think you'll need both ....both lists have the same not named person as the common link.... but there is a crucial (for many) difference in the relationship to the others named between the two lists....

Impressive guess but wrong... Ava Gardner is the A list name that could also rightfully claim a place on list B . Glynis actually deserves two slots on list B.. as does Jean Simmons.... I don't know about Flynn... but I believe the common link between the two lists once entertained Stewart Granger in the back of a taxi (who incidentally, married Jean and reportedly turned Ava down....)

You have no idea how close a try Niven is... If we did a male list version Niven would get 1 entry on the A list and 4 on the B list.... Once you have worked out the common factor between the lists the difference should be easy...
