I made a similar thread a few weeks ago. Dunno about those movies in particuarly, but I do believe one of the reasons critics are often harder on a movie than filmgoers are because of "genre fatigue". When critics have to keep watching more of the same type of film (often using the same tropes and cliches) they're bound to get sick of them and give them a lower rating than general audiences. I think the slasher genre is a good example, Halloween 78 was actually quite well received, but after that the genre became flooded with derivative copycats.

There are many movies you missed, but as people pointed out in your other thread - the % is just the amount of critics who like the movie.
X-Men: Days of Future Past has a 90% but only a 7.5/10 average rating for example. It has a 7.9/10 on IMDB. If you had used this as an example, it would have actually been backwards.

The Butterfly Effect 7.6 vs 33% Final Destination 6.7 vs 35% Butterfly has a 7.6? Really? I didn't realize filmgoers liked it that much. I watched it quite some years ago and can only recall the ugly visual palette and how disinterested I was. Was surprised to see it well-received by the general audience.
