O'Toole
I think Lemmon was better than both of them though.

Hmmmm... Both are great performances, but difficult to compare. Peck's portrayal is of a quiet and non-selfish heroism while O'Toole's feels more alive and vibrant. I like Peck more overall as an actor but giving this to O'Toole.

Both of them were great performances, but I'm afraid I have to state the Academy had it right the first time. This was Gregory Peck's Oscar. I think Peter O'Toole should have won one for The Lion in Winter.

I must admit, and know I’m in the minority, but I didn’t much care for Peter Sellers in Being There. And I haven’t seen Pacino in And Justice for All. The other three from 79 are great. |

Lawrence is cleary the better performance, but Atticus is the better subject matter and Hollywood likes to pat itself on the back.
