For everyday, knock around the house shoes and mud boots, Walmart.
For hiking, leather lace up Ariats from Tractor Supply.
For work, Danskos, and a nice sort of dressy shoe that just struck me!

My husband needs a specific support in his arch. New balance has it the cheapest. So he goes to a store in the mall. They are like 200/pair I need to look into that. I need special support in my arch as well

I like going to stores too but I've found there to be more options online. Like, I only have a 25 in inseam so my jeans would always be too long. When I shop online I search for cropped and it works out good

Now you and I know we women don't want the same pair of shoes for two years, but it works for him. Wonder how much Spitfire926f paid for her pair??

I can't believe what I used to spend to fill shelves full of shoes in my 20's...sling-backs, pumps, round toe, kitten heels, 4" heels, 6" heels, wedges, flats, open-toe, flip flops, sandals, strappy heels, buckle boots, work boots, gym sneakers, hiking boots, walking shoes, leather, patent leather, work heels, dress heels, mules, slip-ons, platforms, thigh-high boots, riding boots, barn boots,.... And of course, if I found a pair of shoes I liked, I had to have them in every shade and fabric they came in. Eeek! Quite the fashionista! Nah. I was young and gullible to all the marketing that convinced me I needed to own all those shoes. lol

Last pair of shoes I bought was at Sportchek, which is a sporting good store. They are owned by Canadian Tire.
Just out of the blue, I was searching something else on the site, and I laid my eyes on that pair of shoes.
Asics Gel Quantum 180 is the style.
Original price was $159.99. On sale for $99.98. With 13% HST (harmonized sales tax, which is 8% Provincial Goods & Services Tax and 5% Federal Goods & Services Tax), it came to $112.98.
I had a Visa gift card that I had left over from Christmas. So, I put that towards it.
So, for a pair of shoes that would go for just over $180.00, I paid $62.98 for them.
Made out like a bandit - I'd say!
As well, probably about 10 years ago, I had a gift certificate to a higher end clothing store in London, ON.
I had a look around, and a salesperson came over to greet me, and asked me if I needed any help. I said:
I'm gonna be totally honest. I have a gift certificate, but have NO idea on what to use it. Having a look around, I thought...I don't really have a good pair of dress shoes.
Of course, the ones I tried were display only. So, they had to order them in for me.
Even with the gift certificate, I think I still paid just over $200.00 for them.

I use to always go the PayLess Shoes when they were a thing, but now that they're gone I just go to Walmart. My favorite kind of shoe is the cheap one.
