I finished community college that year and couldn't find a job in 2 weeks so gwnyc called me a mooch.
Seriously though, because I couldn't find a job that wasn't camgirling, and I was young and naive at 21, I was stupid enough to move into my parents' respective homes for a year. Not because I couldn't afford rent, but because obviously I wasn't gonna tell them my income source and was chickenshit. And I only made it back to the city because of some guy I met on the internet (my ex) and you know how that turned out. I landed my first psych ward visit at the end of 2016 because I was suicidal partly because of my inability to keep a job. I only found a stable job in 2017 when I was 23 and stayed there 2.5 years before I felt confident enough in my earning and saving ability to quit and spend my money on a vacation before this corona thing hit.
But having survived 2 recessions during the time I should have been working, I've learned how to avoid further financial disaster.
