This is one of my favourite movies, a pure 10 without any doubt at all. Music, story, visually, it all works so well. It's not as confusing as Inland Empire, nor as unexplainable as Lost Highway. It's a weird movie, no doubt about that, it's David Lynch after all, but it works, for me anyway.
Thoughts?

Since I'm still lost on it, I can't give it more than 7/10, B+
3 viewings & nothing draws me back.

A solid 9. A few Lynch I prefer, INLAND EMPIRE, Blue Velvet and probably Lost Highway.

I'm still not sure what to think of that movie, it's too confusing for me It's special, but just what the heck is it about? Did you see the first episode of deason three of Twin Peaks? Very grim, quite unlike the original show, more like Inland Empire actually, imo. Special, not sure if I like it.

To me INLAND EMPIRE is the culmination of all Lynch’s obsessions, it’s like Mulholland Dr. taken to the next level, even darker, more mysterious and ambiguous but with still a thread of a narrative. I remember reading some of the theories and I think I had a reasonable idea of one of the possible interpretations, but it’s been a while since I’ve watched it, or any Lynch for that matter, might be time for a binge soon… …speaking of which, Twin Peaks is my all time favorite show but I always planned to wait for the DVD and then watch the whole thing again, perhaps in tandem with some of his films so I haven’t seen the first ep yet. Did you like Fire Walk With Me? That was a lot darker than the original series and put off a lot of fans, perhaps it’s going more for that vibe.

No, it's darker and quite different, even compared with Fire Walk With Me. It's going to be quite a ride, the new season. I'm not sure it's really made for the audience of the original show, but Lynch never does take the easy path I tried rewatching Inland Empire. I've seen it about four times now, but unlike Mulholland Drive or even Lost Highway, I really can't figure it out at all.

9/10.
The movie is a MASTERPIECE, I recognize that. Part of me loves it, and part of me hates it. It is bizarre, weird, but intriguing, fascinating, and even addicting. This isn't the most enjoyable movie I've seen, but Lynch is honestly a genius and his brilliance really shines in here.

Is "Twin Peaks: The Return" better than "Mulholland Dr."?

It wasn't for me. Though I liked to see Ann Miller's return to movies since 1956 (except a cameo in Won Ton Ton), sadly it was also her last movie. She was a joy to watch and lightened up every scene she was in.

No, never ever ever. Really no. Twin Peaks season 3 is horrible, that ending was a slap in the face.

If the 4th happens, are you gonna bother?

If the 4th happens, are you gonna bother? I most likely would watch it, it would be hard to get worse. I’m actually hoping for a fourth, matbe Lynch has a plan for it and that’s why the third ended the way it did. But most likely he did not and this is what we’re stuck with.
