In the first blockbuster deal of 2021, Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff are switching teams. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Detroit is dealing Stafford to the Rams in exchange for two future first-round picks, a third-round pick and Goff.
Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports it’s a third-round choice in 2021, a first-round choice in 2022 and a first-round choice in 2023.
The trade will not become official until the start of the league year March 17

Seems like a fair trade to me.

Seems like a fair trade to me. I hate to see Goff leave ( I am way too sentimental to be a GM ) but Stafford should be quite the upgrade. This could actually get us over the hump.

Supposedly, Stafford told the Lions they could trade him to any team - - except the Patriots.
Is that:
A) a Belichick thing
B) a following Brady thing
C) a having horrible offensive weapons thing
or
D) a not wanting to be around Patricia thing?

Seems like a fair trade to me. Well, The Rams also get rid of a very expensive contract and thus gaining a lot of cap space to work with, while the Lions quasi pay for these picks. The Rams are acting on short term, the Lions on long term: We actually have already a discussion about this topic. The other big question: how does this trade affects the anticipated Watson trade?!

2 future first rounders? Stafford is a lot better than Goff, but not THAT much.

The Rams won't have a 1st Round pick until the 2nd Coming. That's going to come back to bite them in the ass someday.

So if the Lions got all of this for Stafford
I'm thinking we can get around the same for Wentz

Funny - - I was thinking you'd have to give up two first rounders and a third for somebody to take Wentz.
