He had in a sense on the exterior, a charmed life and he was a very active and physical actor. The diagnosis wouldn’t have fitted in with his persona and he may not have wanted, or been up to the suffering. There would of course been other underlying personal issues as well. Who’s to know except Williams and perhaps those close to him.
