A fantastic album opener. One which sets the tone early on, for the rest of the album, and is surely among their finest moments, and also happens to be, without a doubt, the greatest song ever written, about making your own damn
"motherfucking pizza tonight".
The lyrics and title is most likely a fun take on The Age Of Aquarius, but where the guitarist Pål Pot Pamparius actually way back had his own pizzaria diner, located not far of Oslo, in Kolbotn, and the place is still up, but I doubt the fans will meet up with Pål behind the desk, but for any fans of the band, I guess when the Corona situation (everything is closed down as of last week, and will not open until around march 25th) is hopefully not that strict and serious, and if one happens to want a slice of Turbonergo pizza pie history, then be sure to pay a visit to:
Pamparius Pizza I did not get into Turboneger until around spring 2003, when they had a successful comeback, with Scandinavian Leather, and I remember loving the one hour long documentary called
Turbonegro: The ResErection (1999), which told what happened between the late 90s and how the band were torn apart, right when they seemed to be breaking through, big time. I guess personal problems and not the most "healthy" lifestyle surely had something to do with that, but a nice way of getting a better insight of the members and lives of the band, and also a nice warm up, towards their upcoming 2003 comeback album.
