If you could live anywhere in the United States, and that includes Hawaii and Alaska (I wanted to clarify so no one thought I was just referring to the contiguous country, and the states that so many get left out!), and let's for the sake of argument say money was not an issue (because we know the cost of living in NYC and LA is higher than in Little Rock, Arkansas for example), but this would be the last move you could make in your life, regardless of your age...where would you move to and why?
Are there certain states, regions, cities (etc., etc.) you absolutely would never want to relocate to? Why?

I'm fine with my little spot in the bottom left corner but if I had to pick up and go somewhere else I'd maybe choose central coast CA or Denver or Seattle. Some place where I could still live a life of expensive convenience in a liberal bubble. Pretty much everywhere else would be a hard no.

Autumn I think I will relocate to Orlando to be near my oldest daughter
Family.
But if this weren't the case!?
I'd prolly want two homes and be a snowbird: one in Florida; one where the summers are nice WITHOUT humidity.

I’m fine in Florida but if money wasn’t an issue, I would love to live somewhere on the coast.

I'd probably want to live out west in California, Arizona, New Mexico, or Nevada. Mainly because the states are warm all year long and I don't have to deal with snow, ice, the cold, etc. like I do in Illinois.

Probably move somewhere in the mountains (Appalachian) where the nearest neighbor is many miles down the road. Either that or somewhere slightly west of San Antonio. I don't dig beaches or the ocean so definitely dont care anything about living on the coast.

First I thought “Alaska” but Iv never been so maybe I romanticize it. Then I thought “Hawaii” but there is no snow and the islands are small and swarmed by tourists all the time, so nah. So I am saying: Montana, close to the glacier park. Yeah, sign me up. I spent the first 40 years of my life living in big cities, with lots of people everywhere, I think for the next 40 I would enjoy nature and mountains and not so many people around.

Florida is a coastal state. I meant a coastal city in Florida, I live in Orlando. Do you know me? Lol You go by another name sometimes? Excuse me. I thought you were Monica. You aren't. My daughter is a biologist at WDW. I'm in California.

I've lived in 7 different states and over 30 different cities/towns. Been to so many different places I can't count.
I can't say there's one specific place I'd never live but I'll agree with John Mellencamp. Not a fan of big cities. I'm much more comfortable living out in the country. Away from everything.

Somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, but can't decide whether I want to live in the heart of a metropolis or somewhere rustic if it's basically going to end up being my final resting place.

First, it would be hard to drag me away from my home of over 40 years.
But, if someone tempted me with Hawaii, specifically Kauai, which usually isn't over-run with tourists... it would be hard to say no. I've been to several of the islands over the years, and that island is a nature lover's paradise. The flowers, the air, the plumeria trees... I never got to dive there, so I can't compare it to Maui, but I would love to check it out!
