I can't imagine the CCP has much genuine support. Having worked for a Taiwanese corporation for a decade, I can tell you, the CCP has loyal devoted support from the majority of Chinese people. That's how that society has been structured from ancient times.
The Emperor is appointed by god and has divine right. The Communist revolution didn't change the fundamentals of Chinese society. Until a cataclysm comes along to shake their faith in the current ruler, they will follow orders and happily do so.
