It’s all political. Tom Brady once had a MAGA hat in his locker in 2016 and the media is now trying to undermine his greatness. They started by saying Kaepernick got shunned because of his beliefs but not Brady (because he’s white). Now, after that didn’t work. They are trying to say Mahomes is better... This is one of the biggest stretches/reaches I've ever seen attempted. 'They' did that? The 'media'? You know those words are plurals, right? One guy making a stupid comment doesn't constitute a vast conspiracy. I'll never understand how or why people keep trying to make an underdog out of the least underdoggish human who's ever lived.

Because, the whole time he’s played, the media and sports writers tried to deny or downplay how good he is. At first it was “Oh, it’s Bill Bellycheck. That’s why he’s good. He made him look this good. It’s a system QB.” Then it was “He may have won 3 Super Bowls early in his career, but he will never catch Joe Montana. He is probably done now.” Then it was “Aaron Rogers is the greatest QB in the league. He’s going to catch Brady.” Then it was “Well, Brady may have won another 3 Super Bowls, but it’s his defense. The team.” Then he goes to Tampa. He goes to the Super Bowl. And everyone says “well, his team is loaded.” Despite the fact that TB hasn’t been to the playoffs in 13 years. Now the media says “Oh, Mahomes is going things no one has ever done, he’s the future GOAT. He’s going to pass Brady. See how quickly the media is ready to crown “Aaron Rogers” or “Patrick Mahomes” or even Russel Wilson to an extent at one point. But they always downplay Brady and his success.

Your uses of 'they'' 'the media,' and 'everyone' is extraordinarily overblown. One guy on some stupid talk show on ESPN or some sports writer in England does not constitute 'everyone.' All I've been hearing about for the last 12 days or so is Brady. Just because you for some unknown, masochistic reason choose to listen to the critiques doesn't mean that's all or most of what is out there. Both of these teams were expected to be successful this year, and yet whoever wins on Sunday will undoubtedly say 'Nobody thought we could do it!' It's all a bunch of God damn bullshit.

If Brady wins, he's probably in the Jordan & Ali sporting realm. Jordan left the game to play minor league baseball, walked back & won another threepeat. Ali left because the military, & returned for another epic run. Brady leaving the Patriots & AFC, for the Bucs of all teams, defeating all in the NFC's path... & a win would be defeating the next chosen one... would surely put Brady up a level.
I'm still picking the Chiefs because they can do more with their eyes closed... yet neither outcome will surprise me, even a 13-3 dud.

It was only certain members of the media, usually biased reporters of certain teams, or his former victims turned media like Jeff Saturday or Tony Dungy. Nobody is downplaying Brady in the media at this point.
