Decided to make chicken soup for dinner today. Had the chicken out, removed the skin, removed meat from the bone, cut up the meat and threw it and the bones wrapped in cheesecloth into a soup pot. I had cleaned up the cutting board, knives and the counter and sink. I went upstairs to change my top, and when I came down, the male cat was stretching up from the floor to the counter, sniffing sniffing sniffing. As I came in the kitchen, he saw me and got down, and ran out of the kitchen. The soup has been on for about 1.5 hours. Just before I heard him make a noise, and jump off the counter. I think he was by the soup on the stove. I checked him, and there are no visible boo boos. Hope he didn't burn himself on the pot. This kitty loves him some chicken.

Hope the soup comes out delish, although I'm sure it will. Definitely hope kitty doesn't get burned paw pads with that curiosity they have.

Open up a can of tuna and he'll leave you alone. Chicken is meh to a cat. But tuna is feline crack.

The community cats in my neighborhood love chicken... I've found bones in my yard, and when I bring a roasted chicken home from the grocery store, they'll come up to me wanting some...
Not a fan of the breast meat, and so, I sometimes chop it up, take it outside, and give it to some of them. They all quickly eat it and want more...
They also LOVE canned tuna... Great for getting cats out of trees, or getting cats to come out of their hiding places...
Leave it out in the wind for them to smell, and they'll all come sooner or later looking for it. LOL!

Once I lived with a guy who had a cat and I couldn't make myself a tuna sandwich without being endlessly harassed by that damn thing.

I have one that can hear when the cheese drawer in the fridge opens, and I either have to share, or put her in another room and close the door. Same with butter...
