His name seems like it’s attached to every franchise now. If you ask me, he’s basically a wannabe John Williams.

 . Well I like his scores so I'm cool with it. One of his best pieces - Both that and Jurassic World are pretty good. I love his score for the 2009 Star Trek and the Planet of the Apes reboot series the best.

His score for War for the Planet of the Apes was my favorite score of 2017 an one of my favorites of the decade.

I generally like his work a lot, but I’ll admit there are some projects he seems to phone in.
He also doesn’t quite have a score that just blows my mind. His work on Up, the two ‘Apes’ movies, and The Incredibles are all great, but he doesn’t have the record of someone like Zimmer or Williams or Morricone or Elfman.
He could get to their level, though.
