Damn. His eldest son died about ten years ago, right?
They’re supposed to fly to Tampa tomorrow - what a thing to happen.

Two or three drinks. Right. If you have either two or three, you know the exact number. There is no "or."

While speaking only In general terms (if he was indeed DUI), how hard is it in 2021 to not drive while impaired? Uber, Lyft, regular taxi, bus, friend, family member, not to mention a service provided by the NFL that will drive anyone anywhere in these situations. I have less than zero sympathy for anyone who finds themselves in a situation like this. Fuck ANYONE who drives drunk / impaired.

Holy shit. Hope everyone injured is okay. I wonder what will happen now to him, he’s likely in deep trouble, he will probably be charged for this, will he coach in the Super Bowl or not?

Doubtful, this is pretty serious. If the boy dies he’s doing hard time, as he should. He’s doing time regardless I think.

Agreed - I just wonder if he will be fired from the coaching staff now, it must be a hard situation for Andy Reid as he may be forced to fire his son. No excuse for this guy driving drunk.

Wow.
Now to input "team coach/head coach's son causes alcohol-induced car accident nearly killing a 5 year old 2 days before the game" into my mega-computer simulation to see if it affects anything.

Reid has been arrested numerous times in the past, including charges for DUI, prescription drug possession and waving a gun at a motorist in a road rage incident, per the Associated Press. Booze and prescription drugs strike again. My cousin was pulled over for driving while black in nice liberal Massachusetts. The nice white liberal cop found a few grams of pot and my cuz had to serve time in jail. Must be nice to be a white guy and wave guns at folks while drunk off your ass and still get a high paying job and set free to kill innocent children. If the kid was black the scumbag drunk will probably get off with community service at the local brewery.

Drunk drivers are some of the most self absorbed pieces of shit in the world. They don't care who's lives they destroy because the effort to be responsible is a minor inconvenience to them.

I assume they're waiting to get the blood test back before they charge him. This guy needs the book thrown at him. He shouldn't get another chance to kill someone.

I hear ya. No excuse these days. I was born in the 60s, grew up with drink driving pretty much a normal thing to do. When I was younger I drove cars and rode motorbikes drunk. Seems a completely mad thing to do now. Thank God we survived, and it's become socially unacceptable. Luckily the only person I ever hurt was myself when I totalled one of me motorbikes.
